Yeah it's designed to sit for example, on a large, wall-mounted Plasma/LCD in the middle of a board room, so it captures a whole table's worth of people in frame.
For someone sitting in front of their computer, a 90 degree lens is probably too much.

Be aware, compared to the C920 it has the wider field of view but I think loses autofocus, both of which are probably negatives at home. Also Australian C920s sell for around $80 inc, shipping. So you would really need the 90 degree FOV for this to be a deal
Personally, at a price comparison; go for the Microsoft LifeCam Studio. It's only $25… and this one isn't $100 better…

Any one know if this or the c920 will work with panasonic th-p65st60a tv? The microsoft lifecam studio doesnt. And whether it will work with android tv box
