there's a bunch of cheaper rental places; however, they're renting you skis and snowboards that are many, many years old. They're fine for a day 1 beginner, but for anyone with more than a few days riding under their belt, these cheap rental places don't cut it. (a friend of mine bought a pair of ex-rental skis from a place like this and the sales person said, yeah we have to sell them cause when they're 10 years old they're not covered under our insurance anymore)
