Same as this expired deal?
Yep OP has posted the same deal 3 times now
Yep OP has posted the same deal 3 times now
I will not hesitate to post 10+ times as long as previous deals were expired and the current deal is the cheapest possible price for my fellow ozbargainers.
Reporting the current valid deal to MOD is silly Act.
Wow chill out. I didn't even report the post…
$131.12 after coupon code WEEKEND12 is applied.
Not bad for an unlocked smartphone but the fact it is a Windows 8 phone rules it out for me. Not enough apps and not enough support.
Your loss really.
Missing apps:
- Steam
- Playstation
- DriveClub, Watch_Dogs and probably every other game with companion apps
- Google apps
Missing all the apps I would use too. A smartphone that doesn't have the apps we want to use is a waste of money and is just a 'dumbphone' with a big screen. It is better for a user to define what they need before buying a device. I expect a smartphone to do more than just a phone can, so the loss would be greater if we actually bought this device and then couldn't use it.
no apps, and also: Windows 8…
I wouldn't really recommend buying the phone with the new 8.1 phones coming and even the Nokia XL being 200USD. Phone is going to be heavily outdated in a month by Nokia standards.
This will run 8.1
Pretty sure all current phones will run 8.1.
I disagree. I have been using this phone for 6 months and it is running 8.1 now.
I have got one last time. It is better than the outdated Android phone, but not as good as the new Android phone. This phone is worth this money. It was delivered in one week.
So it does calls, sms, internet browsing and maps without lag? looking for an unlocked phone for when I go overseas in a month
Get one that has a wide range of connection capabilities… try a Huawei G526.
Yes, these functions are quite responsive. Also you can download one country map for navigation. Just for the basic use, don't expect an exceptional experience.
Anyone know whether this is the RM 914 or the RM 915 type? DSE website doesn't specify from what I can see.
In the comments section of one of the previous deals it was posted that this was the model suitable for Telstra frequencies.
I just bought one unlocked and it says on the box:
NOKIA 520.2
GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
WCDMA 850/1900/2100
So that would make it the RM-915 model.
Thanks, Kamoi. That means it is the "Telstra" model. Bad luck for me.
I am using it on Virgin mobile SIM.
It will still work, but you are relying solely on the 2100MHz band for your 3G connection and will fall back to 2G in areas where it has no coverage.
Thanks!
