  Anyone know a good deal for a reasonable quality mic? The $8 clip-on mic keeps getting chewed up by my dog (he chewed through two already. He likes the smell on certain cords).

  Found myself needing a mic again for upcoming Wildstar raids.

    I got an Audio Technica AT2020USB a few years ago for less than $100 and I basically only use it for video calls or the occasional audio project. I've heard the Blue Yeti is also very good.

  It's highly likely this is not a condenser and nothing more than a crappy mic in a "fancy" case.

    Pay through Paypal, get your money back if it turns out to be an electret microphone.

    Signal to noise ratio of 58dB looks pretty poor for a "quality" microphone, but is better than the ~40dB that comes from the cheapest electret microphones. Compare with the classic Shure SM58 which achieves greater than 100dB, but that is a dynamic microphone costing $100+ and needs a quality preamp too.
