So why is Nosefrida better than other aspirators?
Nosefrida is non-invasive-instead of going inside the nose like the bulb, it forms a seal with the outside of the baby”s nostril(creating a vacuum) Parent powered(mouth) suction is much stronger and effective than the static suction of the bulb or battery powered aspirators.

NoseFrida is also easy to clean, dishwasher safe, and BPA & Phthalate free.

NoseFrida was developed by ear nose and throat specialists over 10 years ago and helps over 500,000 parents each year worldwide.

Used and recommended by Paediatricians, TGA approved in Australia and FDA(Food and drug administration,USA)

Nosefrida is the number one selling Nasal Aspirator Worldwide, it reduces the amount of mucous in the nose. When your baby is congested and they are too young to blow their own nose, Nosefrida helps clear their nose, enabling them to breathe, feed and sleep easier.

Nosefrida has been the number one best selling baby product for 10 years in Amazon

As a parent, I dont recommend these. U usually use these when your baby is sick, which means you are sucking all the germs into u.

http://www.amazon.com/Nosefrida-The-Snotsucker-Nasal-Aspirat… Wow Hero, this is actually the best selling baby product in the world that was originally put together by ear nose and throats specialists in Malmo Sweden for kids with Bronchitis to keep them out of Hospital. There are filters in the product that make sure you do not receive any germs, I have personally used it on both my Children and spoken to literally thousands of mums who have used it and thanked me for importing the product into Australia.

      • Are you sure nappies aren't the best selling baby product in the world?

        • You'd think that but according to the Bible (Amazon) its the baby Banana Brush at the moment, I actually had the rights to that here in Australia but I preferred to work in the Adult Industry with a different shape of Silicone that was more profitable.

Saw these at the baby expo in Melbourne last weekend.
The wife, and the rep manning the booth didn't appreciate me making a slurping noise and chuckling to myself during his demo.
My apologies to the staff member that manned the booth. I thought it was hella funny.

All jokes aside, when your kid cant take a dummy because their nose is blocked and can't breathe, and wont sleep as a result, snot suckers are a god send.

Try not sleeping for a week, and having a continually grizzling child for that same period of time. You'll slurp a booger if it meant you got some sleep too.

Wicked and thanks for the great compliments, its bloody good device, I got involved after my baby was clogged up and this was the only thing that helped her out..

By the way that was me and I definitely would have thought it was classic, unless it was on the Sunday when I had a massive hangover..Love Melbourne though, great people and 30 degrees everyday, the place was rocking , is there any chance you can do a little write up on some of those baby websites when you have time..

I'm don't feel terribly assured by their clinical studies evaluating bacteriological transfer, considering that the common cold is caused by a virus, not bacteria.

This is a perfect gift for parents with newborn. Forget about the other suction device, I think the hose sometimes is too stiff/sharp for little nose.
This one doesn't have pointy end, in fact, you don't need to insert into the nose.
The idea may sound gross, but like Gish said, when you have a baby with a cold, you'll do anything.

We use something similar, except it has a bulb on the end so you squeeze the bulb insert into the baby's nose and release. It works reasonably well and is a life saver.

The "World Therapeutic Foundation"!? You just made that up. No such thing that google ever heard of, though I expect it will soon point to this thread. Or am I missing a joke?

(BTW, Why no pictures of the device? Because it is basically just a plastic tube. One end in baby's nose, the other in your mouth.
      $16 for that? )

Mums who really love their babies do it the old-fashioned way :-)

      votesreporthide

Yes you are missing the joke, the World Therapeutic Foundation is sometimes known at WTF, also known as What The $%$%*..

Yes its a plastic tube, a plastic tube that has filters and designed by ear nose and throat specialists and used by over 500,000 happy parents every year.

The old fashioned way is usually putting your hand over the mouth and sucking the snot out through the nose, I'd pay double $16 so I didn't have to do that, actually for me it would be more a question of zeros at the end of the price…

      Great device that gets consistently good reviews on Amazon, but you probably should mention that shipping starts from an additional $6.50 in the title. I've had one in my Amazon basket for weeks, waiting for a time when it would let me ship it to Australia. I gather now that there is an official Australian distributor, that won't likely happen. In which case, can you help out with a couple of questions;

      1) The unit on Amazon comes included with 20 filters for approx.$15. How many filters are included with the Australian Snotsucker?
      2) I see you sell additional filter packs for $5. How many filters are included in these?
      3) edit- Oh and how do we order to take advantage of the reduced shipping rate for ordering 3 packs of filters (particularly if we want the sucker as well)?

Thanks and good luck with the product in Aus!

      votesreporthide

      Store Reppoohah on 04/04/2012 - 20:52
Yes but it will be in the stores soon enough and you will be able to pick it up without the shipping, let me know where you live and I will sort out a Pharmacy near you as a priority.

The Shipping I can't do anything about, that's Australia posts charge, I don't make anything off it, I actually lose as Paypal takes a cut.

      1) It comes with 4, I actually didn't know you could buy new filters when i bought my original Nosefrida and I used to wash them(they are sponge) 2 kids later and still have 2 filters left, changing filters are a personal decision, some people change all the time but its not necessary.

      2) 24 filters

      3) Just order one set of filters and email me and I'll chuck the other 2 sets in for free. How does that sound?

      Cheers for the best wishes..

There are lots of similar bulb shaped snot sucking devices for babies/toddlers. We use one and it's great. They are less than $10 from the chemist.

I worked the Melbourne baby and Toddler show this weekend and I must have spoken to at least 500-700 mums over the course of three days.

The common response was that bulbs worked but they are intrusive and a common complaint was they were violent, meaning the whole experience was a violent one, holding the kids head between there legs and hit and miss if it actually worked or not.

I got this email about 1 minute ago from a happy parent and it sums up almost every parent I speak to..

"Hi Nosefrida, just letting you know we've used the Nosefrida now and its very effective! My son hates anything near his nose(we've been using fess and tried the bulb aspirator which used to upset him) but now its a lot easier and NF works, thanks for sending the order so quickly.."

The bottom line is there are many options but this is the leading brand throughout the world because it works and its non violent meaning kids do not feel afraid.

Take a look at this link and you will see why http://www.amazon.com/Nosefrida-The-Snotsucker-Nasal-Aspirat…

Wow I had no idea this product existed. Very handy to know - whether it's a bargain or not.. all we've been using so far is the little rubber suckers that come with Fes Little Noses. There's times when we're pulling our hair out cos our little girl can't sleep due to breathing issues with her nose blocked :/

  • no problem, what is your order number and I'll look into it, Steven

  • 1658

  • I have resent today, cheers Steven

  • Mine took about 2 weeks :/

  • Should have + tax in the title or description. My $9.50 became $10.45 at checkout. Nowhere in the online store can I see the prices listed with plus tax until you get right through the checkout process.

Still voted positive as have tried a bulb sucker which was a traumatic experience for all involved and this deal was better than the $10 Babyology May special I was going to buy.

  • Thanks for pointing that out, I added GST tax onto one of the products for Pharmacies and it added across the board, have refunded the taxes, cheers
