seems like a great cheap player. wonder if the playback time is different for movies vs MP3 (or if its movies for 2 hours, mp3s for 4 hours)

Remember MP4 is different to MPEG4, MPEG4 and other formats typically need to be converted for devices like this to play them.

  • Proper link.

I bought a 16GB one from a previous ozbargain listing. It's a piece of crap and the touch function is not particularly reliable. The radio function doesn't seem to work at all.

But it's cheap, and it outputs sound quite well and the battery isn't nearly as bad as I thought it'd be. Light, portable. Crap for video though - needs very specific format, and the tool included to convert existing video generally takes the sound out of sync. Inbuilt speaker is useless in anything but a very quiet environment.

It's about what you'd expect for the price.

    • saw the one on shopping square, but this one is branded omni, (who may have updated the firmware?)

Thanks for the review. still you get what you pay for i guess, good for those looking for a cheap 8 gig MP3 player with expandable memory then.

  • Eww, the side-shot makes it a no for me..
Looks iPod like from the front, but the side is cheap and nasty..

    • its not that bad, its just a side, not sure what else you could do with it… but it is a cheap player so would expect as much!

  • +1

well crap looking or not, this deal is now over.

    SOLD OUT at 1:08pm.

    • Damn someone must have liked it then!

shame they all didn't give me positives!
