Shipporter is a sea courier service that aims to deliver large, bulky or heavy items (e.g. furniture, musical instruments, machinery parts) from online merchants in USA, UK, Europe & China to Australia in a cost effective way.
It is aimed at customers who are not in a hurry to get their items fast as delivery can take 5-6 weeks. All shipping is by sea only.
Their promise is to offer the cheapest sea freight service available for individual shoppers who don't buy enough to fill out a shipping container on their own.
They also handle all the customs and quarantine requirements on your behalf when your item arrives to Australia (but obviously their price does not include any customs duties you may have to pay).
The cool thing about them is that if the merchant doesn’t offer international shipping, they can still help you to buy the item and get it to Australia using what they call their ‘assisted buying service’.
The coupon code gives a 10% discount on the freight of the first order for new customers but I'm not sure how long this code is valid for so did not put an expiry date. Will update it if I find out.
