Return prices? Some example travel dates? A link to the AirAsia page? The effort put into this deal compared to previous posts is lacking, for example by TA and myself.

    • Ouch, bit harsh. Agree that return prices are much more useful for most people though.

One way fares are of little use to the large majority, you will find that the fares I have published are not actually the advertised ones. AirAsia advertises "Gold coast to Kuala Lumpur for $179", then I take a few dates, search for them and find the return journey often cheaper than the outgoing. Meaning the total is usually around the $300 mark.

If I were to remove the hour of research I put into my deal then I would have a similar post to what you have here. What you have posted is what I start off with and build upon, as it helps those on OzBargain get a better scope of the actual dead. Who knows, the return fare may be $400, $500?

Jetstar, Airasia and Scoot never post return fares, they are a point to point carrier. It is up to you to find dates and get the return fare yourself. This is what I tried to say in my post but was clearly misunderstood.

  • Cheap fares, but any hidden charges?

    • The usual credit card fees, baggage, meals, travel insurance, preferred seating, etc. but none of them are compulsory.

      • Thanks for the info!

  • Perhaps you guys should also post deals on affordable accommodations at a 3 to 4 stars hotel in those leading cities?
