  • Price only available through 3rd party sites I've never heard of. Anyone used Flightnetwork or Mytrip before?

    • +3

Yes these are owned by gotogate if you check the bottom of any of these websites.

I have used these a couple of times, always use PayPal. Tickets always got issued, cross check direct with airlines.

These are fine as long as you don't need any help from them, if you do, it will be a nightmare and will probably cost you more than the actual tickets.

    • +1

I’ve used Mytrip before they’re fine.

    • I've used Mytrip twice and everything worked out fine (including a T'way flight from Seoul to Osaka - 99% Korean passengers for whatever reason), but you wouldn't want something to go wrong if you're booked across multiple carriers.

    Seoul Nonstop

    Poor taste

    • +2

I take it you need to do a bit of Seoul searching?

  • Or Jetstar in June for $662 with better timing if you don't need checked in luggage

    • +2

Yeah, these are a bargain only WITH the checked bags. If you don't need luggage, I would say Jetstar absolutely fine. Those June airfares become $820 with 20kg checked luggage though.

  • +3

Thankfully it is on a Airbus

    • Have you tried? Do they match the timeframe also?

      • +1

As long as same day and direct flight I believe. I used price best all the time for direct flight perth-bali and they did price beat

      • +1

I’ve done many price beats with them successfully. Never with luggage though. Check the fine print in the link and chat with them.

I hope they have good brakes.

    • -2

Wouldn't need good brakes if they had a working landing gear and no concrete wall…

      • +2

Who builds a concrete wall near the end of a runway??

        • +2

          The Koreans

        • -1

A runway has a given length, and some runoff then that's it. It could be a wall or a sea or a cliff or grass at the end. What comes after the runway isn't really relevant, it's not a place a plane should be. There is already almost 300m from the end of the runway to the 'wall'. Sure they could have made the runway shorter to have more space to the wall but then you have a shorter runway which is far less optimal.

    • +1

      This is in poor taste.

  • +2

    How safe are they?

    • -3

      Hopefully safer than Jeju Airlines.

  • Crazy, yet another carrier flying direct Australia to Seoul and going out of Sydney only. Do we not have any Koreans in Melbourne or something??

    • +1

      Not enough :P

    • I have been advocating for direct flights for years. Asiana will continue to do seasonal direct flights from MEL>ICN but it's not good enough.

    • Asiana, Korean Air, T'way and Jetstarflighting for direct to ICN but nobody to Melbourne (Except Seasonal Asiana)
