Genuine Gopro battery for $29 pickup or postage was $5 for me in QLD.

The link shows the older 1050 mAh battery but I picked up the new 1180 mAh capacity battery in store.

Cheapest price for a genuine (not generic) gopro battery for the latest gopro's that I can find, JB HiFi sell for $50, same for Target and Harvey Norman. Online camerastore.com.au sell for $30 but postage was $16 (appears nationwide).

On eBay you can get a genuine delivered for $30-$35 if you trust the sellers but this is a bargain from a brick and mortar trusted retail store.

    Thanks nickxau, correct and I picked up the new one in store which is 1180 mAh for $29. The new one comes in a hard plastic type package and the battery is in full view where as the older ones are in a soft plastic bag (I.e not rigid) and the battery is in a white box so you can't see it.

    i bought these. very happy about the batteries. compared to the gopro ones, the difference (if any) in recording time is less than 10%.

      I've bought a couple generics myself and not that I've had any issues with them, but ended up also buying another genuine today because I couldn't pass that price!

      But yeah, nothing wrong with generic batteries (haven't heard any horror stories of them leaking or overcharging) and for a cheaper price you can get 1600 mAh batteries but some people prefer OEM products and the confidence that a OEM product brings.

        From eBay I got two batteries (1400 mAh) and a charger delivered for $19.95. If you go on eBay and search for 'gopro battery' single batteries (1600 mAh) start at $4.69 delivered. These are not OEM/genuine gopro though. They are generic gopro compatible.
