not bad for a bricks and mortar place i guess.

    • Yeah exactly. You could pick this up and not pay postage. More savings…

      • not sure if that place charges shipping, (which may make it a better deal as most require shipping even if they buy it from a store.)

  • I got one for around $380 about 2 months ago from the Good Guys…

  • I've been waiting for a thread like this for a while now… I am in need of a new dryer. :) What's the best value dryer? I'd prefer say a 4kg - 4.5kg model… something big enough to fit sheets in.

Dryers aren't really efficient anyway, so I doubt there's much difference in terms of power usage compared so a cheaper brand and a F&P?

    • Get the Whirlpool 6KG dryer from Good Guys - same price $399 - Sale until July 05 - pay less for cash

    • yeah, there isn't much to them, basically a heating element and a motor to run the dryer, elements are pretty much 100% efficent at turning electricity to heat, so the more power it uses the more heat it generates.

you'll pay extra for features and sensors. (eg auto off sensors etc)

      • I'd debate that. The speed at which the drum rotates and size could effect drying speed and hence power usage.
