Now is a great chance to book cheap air tickets if you are based in Melbourne and would like to explore Tasmania during the next Xmas holidays. These fares have not been advertised as a special offer on the Jetstar website, so I decided to post it here.

Melbourne – Hobart:
$39 fares are available for the following dates in December, 2014: 12, 13, 17, 19 Dec
$49 fares: 14, 15, 18, 20 Dec
$69 fares: 21 – 31 Dec

Hobart – Melbourne:
$39 fares are available for the following dates in January, 2015: 10, 13, 14, 17, 20, 21, 24, 27, 28, 31 Jan
$49 fares: 5 – 8, 15, 22, 29 Jan
$59 fares: 1, 3 Jan
$69 fares: 2, 4, 9, 11, 12, 16, 18, 19, 23, 25, 26, 30 Jan

All the above mentioned fares are the staters fares and do not include luggage, etc.

    Nice deal Ulya. If you want to save $3 on the Melb-Hob leg, you can fly Tiger for $35.95

      It is $41.95 for 12-14 Dec and yes, $35.95 for earlier dates with Tiger.

      Too early for my vacation… Thanks anyway, it will help some people here!

    While I was partying over the long weekend a lady asked me if I wanted to check out her map of Tassie

    I said only if we can get cheap tickets, I will have to check Ozbargain

    Now I can check out her map of Tassie, really looking forward to it
