Following the success of my recent Gearbest posts, I've kindly been asked by Gearbest if I could continue to post on their behalf. I TWAM'd the moderators to make sure it was all above board, and they agreed it was fine as long as I ticked the little rep box. Let me say from the outset that I'm not affiliated with them, I'm not related to them, I'm not friends with them, and I'm certainly not in business with them.     Well I am shocked to say that the bike bag I ordered from gearbest arrived today. But still no bluetooth shower speaker. I wasn't all that keen on the bike bag but was really keen on the shower speaker. How frustrating!

    Ordered April 19. "Mailed" May 5. Still no speaker. Refund did come in a couple of days ago though, which is nice. After currency conversion it's 79c less, but still.

    That's 10 weeks since the order now.

          And mind arrived this morning. Also post stamped the day they said it was sent.

          I'd feel bad for Gearbest but it's hard to. As I've mentioned elsewhere, I've ordered from China/HK dozens if not hundreds of times and never had to wait more than 6-8 weeks. We clocked in at 12.33 weeks here.

    Ordered 18th May, not arrived.
    Submitted PayPal case and it was automatically escalated to a claim (no opportunity for Gearbest to respond).
    Not a good sign for GearBest website.

    wow my gearbest order had FINALLY arrived today.. shortly after my paypal disput was refunded to me!

    2 and a half months later…

      Mine finally arrived also. Has the date code 20140430 16:29:49 from Singapore printed on the label. So guessing it was the postal service to blame.

    My speaker arrived yesterday. The postage date on the package is one day before gearbest sent me a shipping confirmation email.

    So it looks like Gearbest is the victim here. Singapore Post is to blame.

    Every online store will quote you the shipping time that the postal service quotes them, so they weren't doing anything differently. It just so happens that this time, shipping took a lot longer than normal.

    So I guess the saying applies here - you get what you pay for. $0 shipping means slow postage with the possibility of slooooooowww postage.

    I had a similar experience with USPS. The item I ordered arrived 3 months after ordering. The seller had sent me a replacement which I had already received.

      Reason why it took so long: They used budget shipping, our parcels were on the asylum seeker boats they sent back…somehow managed to make it back to us in one piece.

      Agreed. Mine showed up very recently and it works just fine in the shower with my phone in another room streaming to it. Bombcasts and Skeptics Guide to the Universe podcasts can now follow me everywhere. A shame Singapore post seemed to stymie the delivery and bugger things up for many people. Also received excellent customer service here with the GearBest rep.

      Hopefully not. There was a bit of a language gap I believe they got confused between tracking number and the parcel number.

    I still haven't got my 2 speakers and open complaint twice. They deleted my last 2 tickets without answers and keep lying me that they refund through paypal with fake transaction id which wasn't exist. GEARBEST is terrible seller. No more business with them again.

    My speaker actually finally arrived! I passed it off as lost in transit & was totally not expecting to receive it at all.

    All up from time of order (19th Apr) to receiving item it took:
    -101 days/14.4wks/3.5mths! Whew! x_x

    Word of advice: In future please ensure you check the carrier/s you are using to dispatch orders for any known delays & notify your customers. Also implement a live stock/inventory system so you don't oversell causing backorders.

    My speaker arrived. Unfortunately it was defective (bad mic). But gearbest have kindly agreed to refund.
