    • $20.95 with Free Shipping if you like.

  • i don't get how to use this

the same as you would use any container to pop popcorn in the microwave… put popcorn in microwave safe container with loosely fitting lid. put container in microwave and turn on. wait for popcorn to pop. eat.

I don't get why you need to container labelled popcorn popper to pop popcorn in the microwave… any microwave safe container will do!

      • Just don't use the softer plastic ones, the stinking hot kernels tend to melt them!

i seriously did not know this - i thought you would need some butter at least to get it popping. like the microwave packets. i normally use stove/oil or buy the microwave packets.

        TIL…

        • happy to help educate. you can always add butter salt before or after microwaving for flavour.

        • for all popcorn lovers out there including braddsey:

Q: how do we get that cinema flavour and freshness?

has anyone actually tried using 'popcorn oil' and butter-flavoured salt?

        • +1

I bought some popcorn salt off eBay but just sprinkled it on the un-oiled or buttered popcorn. It just sank to the bottom of the bowl and ended up giving the kids a sore tongue and a raging thirst after they licked it clean. Next time I would be buying some popcorn oil and pouring it into the container before popping the corn, then quickly sprinkling it with the popcorn salt once done - That may well be the best way to replicate the cinema experience!

        • would be good to hear whats the results of people that have used popcorn oil…for science

        • Go to ebay and buy some Flavacol
a little bit of oil (i use olive oil, i dont really care)
          Sprinkle with flavacol
          microwave/pot

put in container. Add some more flavacol
Shake it like a mad man.

          Done

          No butter necessary

but will probably still die if you eat too much

        • Flavacol or fevicol?

  • I bought a popcorn popper from target late last year, $7. Sold out online though, I'm guessing discontinued? Bargain if you can manage to find one.
