    You need to create an account in the other iTunes store. Google and youtube are your friends.

        Fair enough, made my amazon account so long ago can't even remember the US thing. Amazon apps now have an Australian store available though.

        I was under the impression you needed payment details or a gift card to purchase stuff. But if not then it does fall into the same basket as Amazon and stuff.
