Would love to know this, especially as the rep is claiming 'no catches'.
I just noticed:
"Brand New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging (where packaging is applicable). "
then
"What's in the Box
Refurbished AirPort Extreme Base Station"
I love OB noone finds typos faster!
This was typo they are BRAND NEW, have revised listing to show corrected.

"noone" ?
I think rep meant "no one".
noone is stralian for no one…
No one would still be wrong. It should have been Nobody.
Both are singular pronouns, and use anyone when you are suggesting a person in a known group, as in, "Has anyone in this room been hunting lately?" And anybody when you are unaware of the group, as in "Has anybody ever gone thirty days without food and lived?" Similarly for (No one, nobody) and (someone, somebody).
Nice to see a rep who is not a shrinking violet!
Only bargain site in the universe where the reps also provide useful tips on English grammar.
I have had one of these for a couple of years now, a refurbished unit I bought directly from Apple for $169. I have it connected to my Billion 7800NL in bridge mode.
Has been AWESOME, easily the best router I have ever owned. Very simple to set up and use, and the WiFi range is great.
From what I can work out, it's NBN ready as well.
What's your reason for bridging from the 7800NL (which has wireless as well)
I find the AE has a better wireless range, and is a lot easier to configure. I did tweak my sync speed on the Billion though, it's a great modem.
Does'nt do Airplay, just a router, has 3 gigabit ports, dual Wireless N, so good price for a standalone router.
I bought one for $99 (previous sale) and it is one of the simplest to setup and flawless. Have a 2TB disk on its USB and all my macs connect to and perform TimeMachine backup regularly. Sorted both my wireless and backup in one go. You can see this disk on windows as well and be able to map and store data.
EDIT: you can pick one at MAC1 (various cities) for $109 http://www.mac1.com.au/products/clearance/
This model was released in early 2011 and is being sold as refurbished at $119 + $10 delivery.
NOT A GOOD DEAL because ….
Current NEW model at Apple sells for $119 with free delivery

Might like to compare like with like…..
The "So and so" above beat me to it while I was typing :)
Well I think enough people have pointed out what an Airport Extreme is.
To compare Apples with Apples:
- Current gen is $249
- Last gen (this deal) is $129
- Previous gen (listed in Apple refurbished section) is $169
Got mine from last deal, for $99 free pickup :)
Using it with NBN Now and my speed test can be found here, http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3375581674
Impressed with it :)
Good deal!
