  • Thanks mate. Just what i needed.

And here's me thinking that a true ozbargainer would go to the moore park one… it's free entry.

      That one is for Dodos…

      dodo Sydney Family Show

      • +4

In this case, i'd rather be a dodo. I don't see how spending about $100 to take the family to the easter show (and then still pay for rides) can be a "bargain".

        • +2

you can use this offer for the family show

        • Just started looking: Royal Easter Show ride coupons are $0.80 to $1.10 (depends when bought), see http://www.eastershow.com.au/carnival/carnival-evouchers.asp…

Ride are between 4-15 coupons per person per go. Add a couple of showbags and the entry fee on top… that's a BIG bucket of money.

that's a BIG bucket of money.

Which church is running the Easter Show?

        • +1

I gotta disagree with jv on this. These are blood sucking businesses that run the show with overpriced tickets, food, rides, games…for a typical family. I guess this opportunity only happens once a year hence they gotta milk it the best they can.

        • -2

I gotta disagree with jv on this.

Are you trying to tell me that the churches haven't trademarked the term 'Easter'…

          Someone stuffed up there…

        • I heard from a friend that the few weeks after Easter, this mob sets up shop near Windsor. No entry fee there, same rides, afaik.

        • 15 coupons = a minimum of $12. What ride do they think is worth $12 (when buying tickets in bulk at the cheapest price)!?

No limit and speed 2 are thrones at 15coupons

        • Any idea where in Windsor or when?

    • +1

I wonder if there is any ozbargainers can find any cheap parking during those dates as well ;)

and thanks martijn, i forgot all about the moore park Easter show xD will be attending that this year :D

    • Anyone that's been to the Moore Park one…

      1. Is four hours enough for a teenager to have their fill of rides?

      2. Do you have to leave the place when the wristband time expires? (I'm thinking it would make more sense to spend the entire 4 hours on rides and only THEN eat something, rather than wasting ride time eating.)

      3. Are there many rides a 5 year old can go on? And can they ride the dodgems (even if it has to be with an adult)?

      4. Where's the nearest train station and how long to walk it, instead of taking the car?

      5. Anywhere nearby with free car parking?

      • 1 went to the Moore park years ago, rides weren't something I looked at
        2,3 no idea
        4 central, 20 minute walk.
5 There's some in centennial park, otherwise there's the eq car park, not too overpriced.

        • I just looked through all the rides, thinking there wouldn't be much for a smaller child. But it's nearly ALL for smaller children. There's only a few that wouldn't embarrass a teenager.

        • If it suits, great. When I went a few years back, it seemed a lot more relaxed than the one at Olympic park.

  • Been waiting for his since Norma is up to 25% off this beats it overall! cheers

  • Really tempting me to go even though I said I wouldn't go this year

but it still works at almost $29.. still too expensive for me.

    Get me a deal under $20 :)

  • Anyone know what those Meal Deal eVouchers can be used for?

    Nevermind found it http://eastershow.com/whats_on/meal-deal-evouchers.aspx

  • If you buying tickets online, no one's gonna check for Concession ID when you're walking in and scanning the ticket barcode right? Does anyone have reason to think they are likely to check?

    • They won't i do this every year, just scan and on your way buddy.

  • +1

Thanks got some. Also with this code you wont get charged the 2.5$ transaction fee. got two separate tickets and still turned out 3$ cheaper than their 2-day link ticket.

  • Is this the train ticket type?

  • All ShowLink tickets include return public transport and there is no need to pre-select a date for Print At Home tickets, you can travel on any one day of the Show

  • I'm wondering if this is a physcial ticket or is this the ticket that looks like a train ticket?

    • +1

I can see why you're 'KoNpHuSeD'.

      Pretty obvious, but nevertheless:
-If you opted for the printable one: will have a barcode on it (looks like a cinema voucher). Will have to be shown at the wider 'manned' gates at train stations & also scanned at the gates at entrance of the showgrounds.
-If you opted to have them posted: should be a train type ticket that can be used in the train station & showgrounds ticket machines/gates.

      • Thanks for your reply.

"If you opted to have them posted: should be a train type ticket that can be used in the train station & showgrounds ticket machines/gates."

I believe "should" is the key word, hence it could be the train ticket or it could be a ticket with a barcode.

        • If you are worried that you are not getting a train ticket as such, just wait a few days and you can actually buy the showlink tickets from the train station which will give you an actual train ticket.
