        Ah yes, my bad.

Thank you to those that replied to me.

Apologies to The Good Guys, follow up email sent.

    • did you check if it was split between a voucher and cc/debit etc ?

When I login, if I hit details at the bottom it says:

Okay it's been 26 hours now since "dispatched" email. I'm 3.8km from my store. By my maths, if it arrived as I post this my Dyson DC58 would have travelled at 0.14kph.

I should have bought a robot vacuum cleaner and told them to just press start. They travel at around 1kph. nearly 10 times faster than The Good Guys' postage service.

    • Did you try to pickup in store?

      • Nah the dispatched email was sent before I had a chance to call.

    • +4

      Impatient, this one..

  • Got my first delivery today.
Its unusual how its all invoiced. The sales invoice provided is the full retail price.
Then I checked paypal and its the full retail priced billed, but then you see the voucher amount credited, even though its not reflected in the paypal total amount. Then checked credit card and the amount billed is the correct discounted amount.

This makes it better in regards to claiming for business, as the invoice is the full amount!!!

Picked up in store and received $27 back in cash from shipping fee and a "Thank You for shopping with us" with a smile. Best experience this year. Well done TGG. I'll be back.

    • +6

I've always enjoyed my shopping experience at TGG more than JB-HIFI and HN anyways… :P

    • +1

Yes, shopping experience with TGG is better than the other retailers. They follow up and communicate very well after the sale of an item. Item is also delivered pretty fast. I mostly receive a call as well to confirm my address and availability for delivery.

  • My order got allocated to Caringbah store.. I am in castle hill was hoping that it gets allocated to Castle hill store. Anyway, still happy with the processing speed.

  • Delete - meant to attach to a different comment

  • So happy with this deal :)

I bought the Garmin Nuvi 2597LMT and the Panasonic Lumix FT25. By no means the best bargains available with the additional 30% off, but both items I want/need and would have bought anyway, at very good prices.

    Thanks OP!

  • Just got a call today from Taylor lakes GG saying the ue boom in black is not in stock and will take a month or so to get in.

Ordered around 10am yesterday…. Bit disappointed

    • Got same message not sure which store it was though. Went for a white one instead

  • just got my GG email for my DC34,

My work is 1 minute away from the nearest GG but it's allocated to Nowra lol
they must be allocating stock wherever they have left

    • The eBay listing showed they sold about 49 of them (after this post)

  • Received my DC34 - Love it already. Comes charged too, which is nice.

  • Ordered Electrolux vacuum yesterday (before 9am), still waiting on allocation email… anyone else experienced a delay this long/still waiting?

Tried calling 1300725885 as per earlier in thread, but has been giving engaged tone for entirety of the afternoon so far.

    • +1

Well I only just got mine.
So I'm sure yours isn't too far :)

      • okay thanks, was hoping to hear they weren't all as quick as those suggested in comments.

        • Don't forget to claim the gift from their current promotion.

Do I win the award for most fun had? (it was literally piled up like this when I walked into the store)
    http://bit.ly/1eNy9LC

Had yet to receive my confirmation mail from TGG but they did send a reply through ebay telling me where my stock was located and provided their contact number. Called them up, said okay to pick up and refunded the $45 intended for delivery (5x$9). Also had to cancel an item because I accidentally bought two (one without coupon code) and they were happy to refund me the full amount + postage in person rather than online (great!). Saved approx. $300, thank you OP and TGG! Very happy chap atm

Note: For me they had to do 6 separate transactions when refunding me the $9 delivery back into my card + my refunding item. Still happy though.

    • For me they simply gave me $18 cash.
I think their staff must have had a ball with all this. Seriously wonder who funded all these discounts.

    • What big kitchen you have!

      • +1

Big but empty… until today :-D.

        ballin' on a budget.

        • Cooking up a storm this weekend?

  • Just received my item by delivery, within 36 hours of ordering. Pretty happy, all told.

  • Got the dispatched email but still haven't received mine, so I think some might take more time.. though it's weird that they send out a dispatched email!

    • +2

do you understand the meaning of dispatch?

      • If its dispatched from a store 10min away Id assume it means delivery today - was clearly wrong :)

  • +1

Anyone noticed that TGG played with prices for this sale day ?

Black n Decker 18V dustbuster TGG normal eBay price is $129, but for 30% discount day TGG increased price to $149. and then dropped it back to $129 today.

    • Who cares?

      Prices fluctuate everyday.

      • It's a fair point they make, ie some speakers I wanted seems to raise in price by $15, however you are correct, after the 30% discount is is still the cheapest

  • Also got the email last night, called up this morning and asked if I could pick up my item in store. It was quick and easy and they refunded the delivery charge to my CC, all in all a great experience.

  • WA here and my order was allocated to a store in SA. Called the 1300 and asked if I could get it allocated to my local TGG the guy said it must be out of stock for all TGG in WA that is why allocated to SA… So no pick up option here to save delivery fee.

    • +1

you can check the local store' stock in the website to confirm.

      • Yeah. Was not convenient to do that at work but will check when get home. Not sure how reliable is the stock level online though. Thanks!

        • Figured out why. There isn't the colour i ordered in WA. Will call again tomorrow see if possible swap the colour that is available in WA for in store pick up.

  • WA - Got the email last night, called up this morning and asked if I could pick up my item in store. It was quick and easy and they refunded the delivery charge (Cash), all in all a great experience.

  • Ordered the Asus ME302C tablet, came today (was the white one, which looks quite nice). This is in Melbourne. They sent an email explaining that the order had been sent to the nearest store for processing on Tuesday and then another dispatch email shortly after that (also called to confirm this that morning, saying that the order will arrive in 3-5 business days), and it arrived first thing on Wednesday. Pretty happy with the experience (and the price).

  • Did anyone in Melbourne buy things and then develop buyers remorse? PM me, I want your stuff!

    • +1

      Yes, you're right… I have buyer's remorse.

The buyer's remorse in not buying more things.

      • I swing from buyers remorse to buyers regret(not buying enough)… so the law of averages dictate that I made just about the right amount of purchases for this promo.

  • Got another dispatch email, this time from Auspost. Still not picked up it seems, so doubt I'll get it today!

  • Last night I went to the bankstown store and picked up the items and got the refund for shipping (saved another 18$), i have to say they were very polite and accommodating on all grounds… Pretty impressed with their service.

  • +2

    Whoo-hoo happy dance!

Picked up my two pieces yesterday from local TGG, got $18 refunded and……….

One of the pieces was http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Brother-MFC-J6920DW-MFC-J6920DW-W…

    @ $427 minus 30% (max at $100) = $327

I'd found this http://www.printerbarn.com.au/Printers/BrotherMFC-J6920DWA3C… so, after a chat with TGG on telephone, I could claim on the price match guarantee.

BUT, the guarantee worked off the $427 (just didn't get 120%)
So, in the end, it worked out as…….

    $427 minus 30% ($100) minus price match ($118.50) = paid $208.50

How's that for an ozbargain deal?

    • +3

I'd award you with a tightarse badge if I could.

  • They ran out of Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 tablets so mine is being ordered from Samsung…

    • Really? I am apparently getting mine shipped from Caringbah or something since all 3 of my local stores ran out. I had to chase it up before it got allocated to Caringbah though.

      P.S. I am in Newcastle.

      • I was told that the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 ed. tablets were all sold out in QLD and that there was only one TGG selling the tablet in NSW. They'll be getting stock next week.

So maybe Caringbah was the last NSW store to have these tablets in stock lol?

        • Atleast both of us got the tablet on a good deal.
Have you decided on a case yet?

        • I went with the Poetic Slimbook since Amazon took a further 50% off. Came out to be $28 (includes shipping costs).

I'm not keen to wait for a 10-18th April delivery time though. :(

        • me too, was told this morning they run out of stock and will issue a refund to my PayPal account. I don't want to wait for a couple weeks to get the item.

        • Oh do share the link :P. Please.

  • I think my store ran out of UE Boom's so I'll have to wait for new stock.

    • me too. Mid April I was told - so about 2-3 weeks away

  • They marked my order as posted on ebay today. Yay, I love two dispatched notifications!

    • Received mine today at 2pm. Contracted couriers. Expect anyone!

  • Got my Braun ct4s today via AUpost

  • I'm in WA, my item was collected by the courier yesterday and it's still onbosrd for delivery with driver ….

    • Are you in the metro area? Mine was collected from the Midland store 3.30pm yesterday and delivered before 8.30am this morning

      • Yep, was picked up at Joonfalup yesterday afternoon and has been on board for delivery to East Perth since shortly after being picked up

  • got mine (2tb seagate expansion) adelaide metro. wish i got a panasonic tz40 too… oh well, maybe next time if it happens again.

  • Anyone tried for extended warranty. Is it possible to do after receiving the items???

  • Picked up my order in store and got $18 refund too. Service is good as the processing store in SA had to ring around WA stores for stocks and to arrange pick up. Thanks again OP and TGG

  • 7am delivery this morning for my microwave..

Cant fault the turn around time for ordering considering it was $9

  • received mine this morning :)

  • I ordered a 3DS XL, only been issued an 'allocated to Nowra' email, as of yet haven't received any dispatch…
I think I might be getting another $40 gift card which now that GG is running out of Gaming stuff I have nothing to spend on cept a deep fryer.

    • Item finally delivered today, will pick up tomorrow
Very glad to finally get my item

      • Scratch that, it was the battery unit from Banggood, still waiting for my 3DS XL even after they called on Monday to confirm my shipping addy.

        • Just tell them you are happy to pick up and any colour is fine.

        • You think? I've checked my local TGG store and they've completely cleared out their gaming section, that's why I 'm worried they can't source a 3DS XL anywhere…

(Not going to drive to Nowra)

        • Finally got it, was delivered yesterday

  • My store allowed me to pick up but wouldn't refund the shipping ($18) as she said the main office told them not to refund. :(

No tracking #s given (sent yesterday), and it will now be delivered after the weekend.

    • Weird. They must have had too many pickups. I think it's hard for their accounting to process if they get paid through a central paypal account, but local stores (which are franchises) need to take it out off the till.

  • got my tough panasonic lumix ft25
thank you the GOOD GUYS :D

  • Received my Dyson DC59 today. Only weird thing is it was delivered without an outside box. What I mean is the Auspost postage label was stuck right on to the Dyson retail box so it did turn up a little bit beat up by Auspost. Everything inside was fine though. :)

    • Wouldn't be nice if it was meant to be a gift would it?

  • One of our items arrived scratched, must have happened either in the factory or warehouse, not in transit, since the outer packaging for the order was intact.

The closest shop to me replaced it, even though it was sent from a completely different store. Well done GG, great service!

  • Ordered at 11am, received the item at 3 pm the same day. Thanks TGG !!!and the motorola motog is fantastic ! Cheers !

  • +1

Am I the only one still waiting for their parcel? :( Couriers Please are the worst

  • Nope you're not.
I even called them at 430 and was told id have it within the hour. Still not here. They are useless. It was sent on Thursday from 10 minutes away.
Tomorrow I am calling them and telling them to take it back where they got it then filing a dispute with PayPal for my money back.
The whole thing has been another gg pathetic stuff up.
Also waiting on a refund on an item they couldn't supply… How long does it take to give me my money!!!???

    • Mine is only about 100km away, australia post would of had it here overnight don't know why they used a courier.

It seems like it's more the courier than the good guys with the shipping problem. I called couriers please and they said they only deliver to my location on certain days of the week, but they don't know what days they are.. And they've had it since wednesday so if it doesn't arrive tomorrow I'm not sure which made up days of the week they are talking about

      • -1

I order from the US and UK often, even that is quicker. It's just ridiculous.
I could have gone and picked it up over the weekend but they shipped it out so quickly I didn't get a chance to organise it, and now it's been in transit since. It's ridiculous. I don't even want the item any more I'm so over it. Anyway I waited for it Friday and today only to get nothing. Tomorrow I'm going back to work and they can just return to sender.

Yes I agree this part is a courier problem but I also bought something else that was listed as more than 10 in stock, well in true GG form they didn't have any stock and now I've been waiting since Thursday for a refund on that… It's just not good enough.

        • Yeah I've never had any luck with couriers at all. I was originally told it would definitely be here by today as well but nope.

My item wasn't in stock either but just changed the colour. Hope you get it all sorted out

  • Has not received my item yet? Just got a confirmation order email on 26 March. it is currently being processed in a store.
Will give the store a call tomorrow.
Anybody is having the same issue?

    • Yep, Auburn store for me. I've emailed customer support.

  • +1

I got a phone call from my closest Good Guys last week asking me for the best time for them to deliver my items. I requested that I pick them up instead, which they were fine with and when I arrived they had my money and items ready. Great service.

  • +1

I heard through the grapevine that it was many more than 2500 redemptions as they decided to top up the redemption qty because they were all used up half way through that morning.

    • LOL, if they didn't I wouldn't have bought a 3DSXL in the last minute as I couldn't make up my mind the night I saw the deal went live. Thanks again OP.

    • who exactly ran the promotion?.. was it a shared arrangement between ebay and paypal?… The store manager at my local GG was at a loss when I asked him who was footing the bill

  • -7

I'm negging this. Bought vacuum, speaker and 3DS XL. GG used different delivery companies for EACH of the 3 products…

    • Received speaker fine (dropped off)
    • For the 3DS I was not at home so they left a consignment card and this delivery companies requires that i must be PRESENT to get the product (i can't opt for drop-off). Apparently they shipped it to the wrong address the first time around too.
    • Have not receive vacuum despite them saying it has been shipped a week ago.

I'll change vote if the delivery problems are fixed.

    • -1

The deal is great, but the delivery hasn't been so good. I hope they learn from this because there were several issues with my delivery as well. I ended up collecting from the courier depot rather than trust them to get it to me.

      • Which is why I always choose to pick up in store if possible. Too much trouble if you miss the delivery guy and have to get a redelivery or pick up from the depot which could be an hour drive from where you live.

    • +1

So.. you're negging it because you were not at home?

It is normal for a courier to require the recipient to be present - if the courier could just drop it off, you might have parcels going missing because the courier "dropped it off" at your house, and "someone else walking by" must have stolen it. Someone will have to bear the loss then.

Maybe your vacuum was dropped off and someone else ran off with it…

Did you get a tracking number for the vac?
