I thought Costco got rid of their lifetime guarantee.
Only in US, still valid in Aus.
lets just say they will keep it till they have made it a household brand then they will revert to US policy.
No lifetime guarantee In Aus… this is a common myth
The guarantee is 3 years, and items can not be returned due to change of mind after 12 months, its very clear and well advertised
What does the life time return policy means? Does it come with any condition?
Thanks
as long as u r a continuous member, can return whenever u want, no questions asked
So when the PS5 is out, I can return this PS4 for a refund of $539.99? I find that somewhat hard to believe.
Yup, and that exact attitude from members in the US seen them remove that policy.
good deal if you bought the original xbox 360 in 2006
i dont expect the ps4 to have those reliability issues
regular Costco price … only thing they have is its in stock
Plenty available in Ringwood as well. They also have the titanfall xbox one bundle for 569.99, but the Ringwood store didn't actually have the bundle in stock, only the console and predictably wouldn't give the physical game disc instead.
Was gonna pick one up the other day till it was pointed out to me that it's only $10 less than RRP.
Surely the lifetime returns thing is worth a bit - thats an excellent bonus for a console
So you can return it in 7 years when the PS5 comes out & get your money back?!?!
well… we need to define the terms. What does "continuous member" mean? does it mean you must renew every year, without skipping a year? Also, you are paying around $60 per year for membership, so you need to think about if it will be worth the value in the end. I really doubt that you can just renew the membership in that one year you have problems with your PS4.
Yes, you cannot let your membership lapse or cancel your membership as that ends your continuity.
Its only lifetime whilst they honour the lifetime guarantee. Once they change it it's gone, so it's not really lifetime.
It will still apply to items purchased under the current policy.
well if membership is $60 a year seems fair they offer a lifetime returns policy
Can anyone let me know. How many people you can bring in with you if I am a member?
One if you are a normal member and ywo if you are a business member.
I think they updated their policy to allow 2 guest per card. I went in with 2 friends all the time and they didn't care.
I've brought in two families with me.. weird.
Yeah…I think it depends on who is on the door [edit…just read the latest policies on the website and it is two for all members]. Overall different staff apply the policies differently. When you pay on a credit/debit card, as far as I know, the checkout person is meant to take you credit/debit card to check it matches the member's name. They did it early on in the piece when Docklands opened up and it happened to me yesterday for the first time in years of shopping at Costco. It was Ringwood though, so some of the new staff have read their manuals recently I guess.
"Each cardholder can bring in two guests over age 18 years (we do not count children under 18 yrs.) Please note that guests cannot shop; only members are able to shop at Costco."
One guest only, but i'm pretty sure 2 will be fine if you ask nicely.
Just read on the website that you can bring all your children plus 2 guests. The refund on merchandise is a bit ambiguous to me. See below:
Can I bring guests to Costco?
Each cardholder can bring in two guests over age 18 years (we do not count children under 18 yrs.) Please note that guests cannot shop; only members are able to shop at Costco.
What is your refund policy?
On Membership: We will refund your membership fee in full at any time if you are dissatisfied.
On Merchandise: We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell, and will refund your purchase price. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
$5 cheaper than EB games. Not really a bargain. Butttt… With the life time guarantee it may be worth it.
