    NEWS:

    We have just released

Now I don't know your definition of 'just', but it appears that you have copy-pasted almost everything from this deal 8 months ago: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/108739

I say almost because pretty much the only thing different is that the discount is now 15% instead of 20% !!!

  • New printers are:
    XP-410, XP-610, XP-710, XP-950
Continuous Ink Supply System, CISS for all Canon printers which use 650/651 cartridges

    • so then shouldn't your post read

"We have just released CISS for XP-410, XP-610, XP-710, XP-950 Continuous Ink Supply System, CISS for all Canon printers which use 650/651 cartridges"

YMMV but I personally found these more trouble than they're worth.

      • I agree with you that they are more trouble then they are worth.. i had one a few years ago on my cannon.. never again..

  • Isnt the 15% off always there on top of ozbargain advertise banner?? Been there since last yr and still see it now..

  • +2

I'm only speaking from my experience and this quite possibly works well for others, but my 6 month old printer with a MIR CISS now prints perfectly blank pages.
The heads are that blocked not a trace of ink gets printed, and yes I made sure I printed at least twice a week. Safe to say I have no hope of warranty being honored so all up around $400 dollars wasted.

    • +1

That's why I use generic ebay ink catridges… $2 each, no muss no fuss, if my printer breaks (which it hasn't), oh well, I didn't pour a massive capital investment into ink. Then again I just print lecture notes.

      • Can you share a link to who you use on eBay for these? Thinking of trying some.

        • Step 1) Go to Manufacturer website of your printer
Step 2) Find the "Buy Consumables" section
Step 3) Copy the codes down so you know what the cartridges are labelled universally as (watch out, some are regionally coded, i.e. the exact same cartridge could be labelled under a different naming system by the same manufacturer in the UK compared to the same printer made for the AUS market.)
Step 4) Paste into ebay and see if any come up
Generally speaking, if it's a cartridge that is quite common through the product lines, it should be available. However, I know epson rebadges their printers (Old NX430 is now XP-400, and XP-410, look at google images, exactly the same printer), so they can rebadge their cartridges as well (and probably update their chips to render existing 3rd party inks incompatible)

For mine, my printer is the Epson NX430
The consumables show up as T133 and T138 (high capacity), with an extra number at the end denoting which colour it is (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow)
          So for mine, it's T1381
          1 for $2.60
          Or 4 for $7.80 (black)
Or 4 for $8.20 for one set (BCYM)

Obviously not photo-printing quality, but hey I don't want to print photo-quality for my uni notes..
I just wait for those cheap bigw print deals for photos :P

    • Shall I have your order number? Also have you close all of the plugs ?
