Hi I was just wondering if anyone who is under 25 like myself (age 22) would know which rental company at Gold Coast Airport would allow someone my age to rent a car and be fairly cheap for about 7 days. All places seem to charge an excessive amount for being under 25. If anyone knows any companies please do tell would be most appreciated would like a price below $400 If possible

Just use the buses. Renting a car in general is risky. Doing it at such a young age is insane imo.
Do not rent car from http://www.surfersparadiserentalcars.com/ or from their groups :kanga car rental, all age car rental.
When I was 20 last year I hired a car from them for 5 days. With no other opinions, I went ahead with them.
They told me they will hold 3.3k from my credit card for excess which was stated on their website. However when I check it a month later(Credit card is from my Dad's oversea account) instead of holding it, they have taken it out of my Dads credit card.
They've promised me they will return the fund within 10 days after returning the car, but no words were heard from them then. I've called them once a day, for almost 3 months, either no one picks up, or the indian owner makes excuses like 'we are still looking for your file, I will call u back tomorrow.' They won't reply emails, even then I sent a demanding letter to their office, it bounced back, it was probably fake. So my last option was to go to ACCC to report, the fund finally returned back after ACCC had rang them about it.
P.S I wanted to report to gold coast tourism but I forgot.
