Seems pretty bad to post a deal as a store rep and specifically state no questions on the forum, on what is a basically big forum for discussion on deals.
why not buy it when you get there for probably what is close to free?

This is true, but I think they still operate abroad with potentially solvent companies in those markets.
That said, I think I would take my chances at the airport for a local sim if I was travelling.
