Hoyts Cinevouchers $6 Each - Valid Mon-Thurs - 275 Available

This is the second and last lot of tickets. I have 275 for sale (I'm keeping some for myself :-))

All voucher codes are provided by email so you can book online. I will get them out to you promptly but if you are planning a last minute movie, I might not get them to you in time.

Just to set expectations, uni has started once more and this is a lot more tickets than last time. I will endeavour to have them out as quickly as possible but typing out 275 voucher codes and pins takes time when I have to be in lectures :-) I don't expect it would take more than 24-48 hours to have them all sent out by email, although I would definitely hope to have them all done sooner. Orders will be processed first come first served.

Points to note:

  • these are vouchers for Adult tickets
  • valid for any regular session Monday to Thursday, including Xtremescreen and Beanbag cinema
  • 3D sessions will require an upgrade fee (approx $3, not including the glasses)
  • cannot be redeemed for La Premiere, Director's Suite, IMAX or special/group events
  • vouchers expire on March 31st, 2014

    I just paid through PayPal, but when it took me back to your site it said that it had timed out or something.

    Did these run out of stock while I was in the process of purchasing?

    I just missed out so tomorrow ill sneak into the movies and save my $6

  • how do you redeem?

    • click the movie and session you want to see, it will take you to the tickets screen. At the top you'll see a link saying "Add Voucher" click on that and enter the details. Then just check out as normal.

  • Will cost $1.10 per ticket online to book I think? Correct me if I'm wrong

    • I think its free when using vouchers. I've used Optus Hoyts vouchers before and have never had to pay for the booking fee.

      • Hoyts will charge $1.10 booking fee even for voucher. Optus and telstra rewards include the booking fees

        • Generally yes but from the last one I ran someone said they didn't charge them on these. So be prepared for it but maybe you might get lucky.

  • Have used one voucher yesterday. I generated the barcode online on my phone (apparently Hoyts Vouchers use the standard CODE128), brought it to the box office, and scanned. No booking fee!

        • There are a few free barcode generator websites around, for example www.barcode-generator.org.

          Paste your barcode number there, select CODE128, and generate. The barcode will be displayed on screen which can be scanned in the ticket counter.

          Weren't the staff suspicious when you showed the barcode (no hoyts branding & doesn't look legit)?

          What did you say when you were at the counter redeeming?

        • At least it worked for me. Try it first, you can always book online if they refused to scan it.

  • OK, I've been able to source some vouchers for Birch&Carroll/Event/Greater Union cinemas that are valid all days except after 5pm Saturday. Would there be any interest in these? I'd be selling them for $8 each.

    • What is the expiry on those ones?

    • Telstra and Optus sell them for $10, no booking fee online.

      So technically it will cost $9 per ticket if you book online.

    Maybe someone can start a Group buy , we could probably negotiate a price up to $300 with the seller making them $6 each
