Suspect the new price is what we'd expect to see in-store.

Mine was 50% off the "reduced to clear" price tag, not the RRP.

Pretty crap. ive just called up, No clearance stock on any high range audio equipment including (JL Audio, Alpine, Pioneer)

I called the nearest hub store to me (essendon), spoke to the guy in the car audio section. Thats the reply i got.
How about doing ozbargainers a favour and let us know whats worth buying ;)
only way i could possibly do that is to personally visit each individual store making note on whats on clearance and price then posting it all on here.
unfortunately for you guys and me my nearest store that this applies to is over 400km away from my position.
if i wasn't away from home this week id go to my local store in Parramatta and see whats there at least but i am not :(.

As per bti_jet's comment, most stuff on sale is either new crap stock (e.g. Sony at-best), or display stock (some reasonable last-year models worth jumping at, with bonus finger-prints).

Just went in to the Northland homemaker centre.
It seemed anything end of line - a shipment of new stock had just arrived.
SONY was extensively reduced, and from the current ticket price. The guy had to look up the new prices and they were half of whatever they were already on special for.
I got a 12 inch sony sub, a pair of 6x9's and an amp for about $150. Now just got to find a custom box maker who is as cheap.
Plenty of units at Midland WA, I was chasing a double din with dab but no luck. Everything else though.
Scored a Sony 350w 2/1ch amp for $20 @ Dandenong.
All the stock I wanted was gone by the time I got to my local store (Kedron, Qld)

Lots of stock on clearance was either 1 in stock or just the floor stock.

I got screwed by a JB HiFi employee on one of these who didnt know his arse from elbow. Basically said they would be getting more on Monday and would be ringing me to collect. Rang today to check up only to be told , it aint gonna happen. They aint going to bring any more in as its a discontinued line and apparently I was given a BS line. How nice. So im due a refund.
