updated, I purchased their 1TB block for 35USD recently and haven't had any issues. Get full speed on my Bigpond Cable Ultimate connection (12+MB/s)
why would you do this?
can someone tell me?
still needs to go through ISP, so if metered its double cost?

It's really not that hard to do you know…. there's quite a few reasons.
"why would you do this?"
Because some people like to get heaps with high speed.
"can someone tell me?"
I can tell you what I am doing, and that is i have one of these free accounts with low speed that is definitely
sufficient for me, it runs in the background and won't cost me a cent.
"still needs to go through ISP, so if metered its double cost?"
Correct, if you don't have a flatrate with your isp you should have an eye on your data volume.
"whats on usenets thats not anywhere else?"
From my experience around 10% of the files on usenet are not found anywhere else.thanks
still needs to go through ISP, so if metered its double cost?
Not quite sure what you mean. If you download 1GB through usenet your ISP is not going to tell you you've downloaded 2GB.
I haven't tried purchasing yet but the sign up says 'US credit cards only' ? Would we need to get around this first or should a regular 28degrees mastercard be ok?
i managed to purchase some blocks with an australiam amex card
Is there any time limit on the 2.2TB ? Like how long can you take to use it all up
based on their T&C there is no expiry date
With newzbin gone, how do people find "stuff" these days?
Besides torrents
Download nzbs from sites like binsearch or NZBclub.
Yes but does the digital millennium act pull things down from there ie latest Hollywood and ufc stuff?
Of course. But I don't think there is any way around that. It's deleted from the servers, not the indexers.
That's US$60, right?
Might want to put that in the title.
Great price though. Are they a good provider? I want to give usenet a go.
