you can get the nexus 5 for $399.

this SGS3 4G should be under 300 now.

    • +$20 delivery

      • Nexus 5 including shipping $420, it's MUCH better LG G2 32GB for $539 from Kogan :)
        Better camera, longer batteries

        • Starting to get sick of all the Nexus 5 fanboys…… some people, like me, want to have micro sd card option, not negotiable. 11gb of user space on the 16gb model is nowhere near enough for me. I would still take S3/S4 over Nexus 5 for this reason, and the better camera, and the better screen, better audio quality, and you can watch Foxtel Go on S3/S4, if you have Foxtel.

Sure, N5 is a great phone, but it is not the best fit for everyone.

i think the definition of fanboys are people who are not price sensitive - they are willing to fork out $$$$ because it is a certain brand.

as a ozbargainer, i go for what is value for money. N5 is newer than S3 and has higher specs. The sd card option with a class 10 card will set you back $$$ as well. Then you might as well go for the higher capacity N5.

if it's N5 vs S4 at the same price. I would say S4 because of the sd card option. (plus this deal is about S3 not S4, so your argument is kind of invalid.)

plus S3 parallel import vs N5 'local warranty'. I don't think you have a leg to stand on there.

S3 is dated. Asking for $389 is too much.

source: I have both s3 and n5 phones.

I bought this on last year from Kogan the same price.

It was the Same price last week. It's their normal price. How is this a bargain ????

    • Free shipping seems to instantly make everything a bargain and post worthy.

      • that would make it a dupe then…

it should be posted in that deal…

        • You can't be serious, that would be logical and make sense and there's no place here for any of that.

Great… I've just drawn all over my screen, thanks for that. Gotta find the liquid paper now.

        • Hahaha, no problem. Please liquid paper your screen here, here and here.

        • DAMN IT MORE MESS PLEASE STOP POSTING YOUR SCREEN CONTRACTS THEY DONT WORK

    I'd rather get a Note 2

  • Most imported Samsung S3 4G phones support less radio bands than Australian-stocked models do; hence Aus-stocked models are probably giving better values (e.g you can use with whichever network you prefer, as well you will have no problem using the phone overseas).

Tbh, I would go with the Samsung Active S4 from Kogan for $429 instead as it's worth more than the S3 LTE (from Kogan).

Samsung Galaxy S4 Active LTE: http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/samsung-galaxy-s4-active-4g-lte-…

    • Took from the kogan website
      2G Network (MHz)
      850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
      3G Network (MHz)
      850 / 900 / 2100
      4G Network (MHz)
      800 / 1800 / 2600

looks like it supports more than enough.
      not a good price though.
