some decent packages i can think of..

    but don't have $399 spare :(

    thanks OP

  • needs more info in the title man. Admittedly its a tough one, but maybe "Shopping Express Trifecta Deal - 3 items for $399".

Some pretty good deals there actually :) I wonder, is shipping extra??

    • Shipping is free - my total for my wishlist of nexus, headphones and microsd was $408

      • So sorta free but when you check out it says free. Maybe because im in SA

        • $399 + free = $399

          How is shipping free again??

  • +1

Interesting combinations that might work for some. Credit goes to them for an innovative strategy.

    • Clever idea, nothing jumping out at me, but better than many of the other limp ideas to stir up sales other than outright bottom dollar.

  • +1

Awesome stuff. If I wasnt expecting FIfa to drain my account at the end of the month.

Could sell on ebay but would risk the lynching of the great and powerful OZ.

    Cheers mate.

    any comments on the chromebook?

watching movies, word/excel, internet browsing/emailing/youtubing etc etc

  • How about throw in a Toshiba laptop in this deal?

    • There is a laptop? I only see a Chromebook which IMO is not in the same league.

      • +1

        Chromebook is useless.

  • +2

Does anyone have any opinions on the Sony Noise cancelling Headphones? Are they any good…for..noise cancelling?

  • +1

keep getting cart is empty!!! :(

    • had same problem - I clicked through to additional information and added to cart from there and it worked

  • Seems like Linux can be installed in the HP Chromebook
    http://lifewithchrome.blogspot.com.au/2013/06/how-to-install…

  • MUST. RESIST. Unless someone wants to take my N54L off my hands…

    • Where you located??

    • +1

      I'll pay for shipping

  • I'm getting $299 plus shipping ($11.45). Makes it all the more tempting with an extra hundred off….

    • holy crap me too…

      • $410 delivered here :(

        $410 Combo:

        G8 server
        Sony Headphones
        Low profile video card…

Not sure what the $299 combo is…

      • What are your combos?

      • hmm they probably fixed? I'm getting $399, unless it's a certain combination of items.

        • Yeah I think they fixed it and may have broken the free shipping while they did it haha

    • Which items did you choose?

It's $399 for me, though I would definitely jump in at $299.

      • chromebook
        headphones
        vid card

but … it's back to $399 hahaha on wells. I was hesitating about the chromebook

    • +1

Been playing around with deals. I'm getting different prices for the same products.

I.e. Microserver plus WD TV plus clock first equaled 399 plus 11 or so for shipping (Sydney). Played around with combos and got different prices. Then went back with original combo (microsever etc) and total 410 plus plus.

      WTF?

I want to neg the deal just for that!

  • Shopping Express rep - I was about to buy this case off you anyway…

    http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/corsair-carbide-series…

Any chance of it making it to the option B listing?

    • +1

The spacious Corsair Obsidian 750D is a better buy for the same price.

  • Is the dns 320l 4TB combo have 1x 4TB drive or 2x 2TB drives?

    • +1

Sounds like just one drive to get you started

      • Yep 1 x 4TB drive.

        Doesn't say brand/model so I'd assume 5200 rpm…

  • Shipping is about $12 for me to Sydney … (they gave me $0.01 off shipping).

I wish they gave me a $100 off too :S I would definitely go for it without hesitation!!!! (being greedy)

  • +1

    I'm getting $299 too + $14.85 postage, should I pull trigger???

  • +1

You get $100 off if you choose the Chromebook.
The cart shows $329 for it instead of $429 on the Trifecta page.

    • +7

Probably discount the Chromebook another $100 because it is such a POS

    • How did u get $299? I added 3 items from each group (Chroomebook from a group-A) and the total come up as $410 to Sydney.

  • +1

    Chromebook + SSD + Graphics card $299.

Very tempted although none of them are neccesary !!

  • +1

Would be a deal if only had FREE shipping, would have been ozbaragined long ago to.

  • +5

Just a heads up with ShoppingExpress. I hopped on one of the deals last time in November and never received my item. When I called them up, they said that Australia Post had lost the package and I would only be entitled to a 50% refund.

So, be wary about 'Free Shipping' at ShoppingExpress as they won't try to help if the package is lost even under registered post.

    • +1

That's why u pay with PayPal or credit dispute …

      • You're right, that's what I should have done. However it had already passed the Paypal dispute time by time they replied. Called them daily from mid December however they only picked up the phone/replied emails last week.

        • +2

Sad to hear that this have happen to you. I have been buying from SE for the last 2 years. Never had any major problem. Once an item was not included in the delivered package. I contact them and they send me the missing item straight away, no extra charge.

It is also part of your fault if you let the dispute time pass. If you contact them and they dont replies within the disputable period, i would file a dispute straight away. You have the evidence that you try to contact them, and paypal with always be in the consumer favor unless the vendor can provide solid proof. Vendor also tend to respond more quickly if you file a dispute.

        • +1

As am I. 99% of my purchases on OzBargain have been hassle free and great however there still lies the off chance of something like my case happening. Seeing as ShoppingExpress is listed quite often on OzBargain, I felt that it would be a public service to just share mine and many others experience (see product review website) as their popularity on here may imply a flawless reputation amongst the community.

    • That's a case to take straight to fair trading. Poor excuse. Did you get a tracking number?

      • Yep, waiting on their reply but consumer affairs had advised me to pressure them for the 100% refund. And yes, it did come with a tracking number. They just insisted that as there was no insurance, 50% is the max they can refund as it was not their fault.

        • +2

Hmm not so sure there. Unless that was a policy you strictly agreed too and was made apparently clear when you ordered, I think it is the senders responsibility to make sure you receive your goods. If it gets lost by Australia Post… it is still the responsibility of the sender. They should send via a more reliable service.

However, I am not a lawyer, but it would make for good customer service for them to take it on the chin and send you out another… That is what I do whenever goods are lost by Aus Post. I don't tell my customers "too bad" or that they only get 50% refund (crazy!). Any business worth their salt would have sent another unit out straight away as soon as they knew their original shipment was likely never going to be found.

At the end of the day, their failure to do this has just resulted in this very negative publicity, which will likely cost them more.

        • +1

And what did the tracking say when you looked it up?

        • The tracking has just been stuck on "Shipping information approved by Australia Post". The ShoppingExpress customer rep said that they most likely have lost the package and can only refund what Australia Post cover to them.

        • Hmm that may be so. I know that Aus Post will only refund them if they had adequate insurance on the item. I doubt they had any to be honest so Australia Post probably is giving them nothing back.

But still, you lost 50% of the price and got nothing for your money except hassle and frustration. A good business will not let this happen under any circumstance.

Good reputation takes a long time to achieve, and a short time to lose.

At the very least, did they lodge a missing parcel investigation claim on the item for you? If not, you should ask for this as they will then have to give you a case number for follow-up.

In my experience, you don't have a high success rate when parcels go missing in the AP system, but in about 30% of cases they do find them (in my experience as a goods shipper).

    • +4

Yeah, that's enough to scare me off. Terrible business practice

  • There is something wrong with this offer. I checkout at $299 but got billed $399. Initially I thought the number $399 was a mistake which should have been $299. Requested a refund now

    • +1

Clearly says 3 items for $399, no?

      • +3

Yes but when I checked out I got $299. So I thought it was the advert that was wrong.

        • champion

  • sorry error

  • Anyone have a true price comparison for all these products and know how much in realistically we are saving?

  • +4

Just check prices of individual stuff before you take the plunge. I looked up that VSD220 monitor and it's $350 elsewhere but listed as $499 on SE.

  • Can someone please tell me if the G8 be used for the same functionality as the DNS-320L?

  • Can someone tell me if the Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 1GB GDDR3 PCI-E 2.0 Video Card (in Group-C) is compatible with the Gen 8 Server in Group-A ?

    • doesnt matter, its no longer in-stock lol

  • -1

    no bargain.

  • If i am not mistaken, the Trend Micro internet security is subject to a $20 cash back as part of their summer cash back program. End 30/1/2014. This might be handy if you dont want any of the group C product.
    https://apac-eticket.trendmicro.com/q4summercashback/pdf/Terms%20and%20Conditions%20(Australia).pdf

However this could be the OEM product and might not be eligible for cash back. Would be great if a rep can verify this.
If you think that i am wrong please do correct me.

I would beware of Shopping Express. My wife bought a Gigabyte AMD Radeon R9 200 Series 280X from them for me for Christmas on 3/12/2013. It never arrived, they haven't responded to emails, they don't answer the phone. They emailed a packing slip, but Australia Post just says "Shipping information approved by Australia Post", they haven't actually posted the item.

  • -1

    Nothing useful in this deal.

  • +2

I also had a massive headache with Shopping Express last year after a HP Microserver I bought from them stopped working after a week. They refused to replace it, and continually tried to fob me off to HP. HP insisted on me going through shopping express, so it was a back and forth pain in the ass for weeks. Only thing that got it moving in the end was a Paypal dispute filed against shopping express. The Customer Service Representatives from shopping express were also extremely slow and rude when they bothered to reply to my multiple emails, it would take three of four mails for them to even bother replying (and not answer the questions being asked). In short - Shopping Express are probably fine if you don't have any issue with your item, but if something goes wrong be prepared for a world of pain in getting them to do anything. I'd never use them again when there are plenty of other places out there who I can give my money.

    • +4

Wow, so many people with problems. From the reports in these comments, they sound like one of those scummy businesses that treat their customers like s..t. Best to stay away IMO.

      • +2

This same scummy business won "Rep of the year award on Ozbargain".
They obviously didnt get that merit by treating their customer like shit.
It would pain me to see that they are using their good trust and reputation build up over the year to do shifty business to gain profit. Kinda stupid.

        • Maybe the 'rep of the year' should respond to the claims then?

        • +1

Not to discount the reputation or prestige of winning such an award, but there are countless cases where certain buusinesses and persons win similar awards in similar areas, and a good number of the winners are far from the best in their fields. Use these awards as a rough guide, not as fact.

  • Ive never had a problem with them. Ordered many times (10+). You cant blame them for faulty equipment.

  • It's a shame I bought a Canon MG6360 just the other day, otherwise I'd make use of this deal. It's a really good printer by the way
