    System Mechanic isn't too bad too. Once you have bought it they regularly offer extra years for $14.95.

    Installed on Windows 7 (using the Drivescrubber 3 ISO file and WinRAR)

    • It worked - as far as I can tell
    • I found it's slow to start and recognise the drives, at which point it gave no indication it was doing anything for about 15 seconds
    • A big no-no in my books - it downloaded 6.5MB of updates without permission
    • After reading a few reviews, I get the overall impression it's ok for basic home use, but I'd be hesitant to utilise it for highly sensitive data

    I still give it a + because the report is true, you can get it free.
