Let the fan boy battle begin !

      • u really love to watch. do u?

I am not criticising the OS. I admit I do not even know much about it.
I just saying its not very popular in terms of market percentage..

        • +3

Fair enough. WP8 OS came late to the game but its year on year market share growth now exceeds Android and iOS. The excellent Nokia WP hardware has driven that also.

    • Everyone who doesn't love kissing Steve Jobs dead bum.

      • So I guess nobody uses Android then…

I switched from an iPhone 4 to a Lumia 920 in late 2012. The WP OS is miles ahead in terms of both UX and (in my opinion) visual design.

Same story from me. IPhone to Lumia 925 and I'm disappointed I didn't switch earlier.

I think android has some pros (and cons) on WP8 but iOS is soooo far behind its not even funny.

The snide remarks against WP8 usually stem from iOS users who have never even held a WP8 phone.

I switched from android and there is much more hatred for wp8 in android community. I think people just don't want to make the switch. Like I didn't want to switch from Symbian few years ago.

I own Iphone 5s, lumia 1020, nexus 7 2013 and sony xperia S. I Like wp8 more than others but thats personal preference. I don't hate any OS. Because I love Technology :).

Is there any way to download these apps prior to owning a Windows phone?

    • +1

I own a wp so i cant tell you for sure………….

But you can try this. Maybe it will work

First you need to have a Microsoft Account (or Hotmail account).
Login to your account and click on install and follow the instructions. Than check your purchase history. If you find the app there, so you are successful.

      Good luck

    • Better try.

      • Yeah, I tried before I posted. It came up that I did not have a registered device.

    • Not really as you have to associate windows phone with your MSLive account in order to download apps from the market place. Theoretically, you could make an account, borrow a phone and log into your account on that phone, THEN download any apps afterwards to your account. That should work actually.

This isn't just for Windows Phone. The same Apps are free for all Windows 8 devices. Works perfectly on my Windows 8.1 laptop and on my Surface RT. Just search for them in the Store.

  • Beat me to it. Awesome find, Thanks.

  • Thanks OP. I got most of these games last time they were free. Avengers is a big download so make sure you have plenty of space.

    • I tried to open the game after reading you comment and it says make sure you have 4 gb. Fooled me with 791 mb download. I have only 6 gbs left. I think i will play this after i finish some of my other games. 18 Gb used in apps and games.

      • 790 mb download, but the install/unpack is obviously much larger hence the space requirements.
