iTunes Gift Cards - 10% off 3x $10 Cards ($27) - Officeworks

65

I know, not a great deal, but the best iTunes deal I can see right now is 3 X $10 iTunes gift cards for $27 at Officeworks. That works out to 10% off. It's about the worst deal I've seen, but if you're desperate…

When I check stock levels for local stores they're all listed as "Special Order", so I'm not sure if they're in-store or not. It seems to indicate that they need to be ordered from the supplier, but I'd expect the stores to stock them. Phone your local store to confirm.

It's about the worst deal I've seen

The why did you post it ????

20% off at Caltex / Starmart

      …because it's…

better than nothing if you're desperate

How about you post the deal you found and link to it rather than posting it in the comments of another deal?

If that deal was posted, I wouldn't have submitted this one at all.

How about you post the deal you found

Feel free to post it… It took less than a minute to find a better deal…

just check here first next time… http://www.giftcardsonsale.com.au/

Please don't down-vote because it's not a very good deal

That is the whole purpose of down voting…

seeing as you can't be bothered.

It's not that I couldn't be bothered, there are nearly always 20%-25% off deals for iTunes cards, so it's not such a big deal for me…

If it was 30% off or more, then it would be a bargain…

Please contribute rather than just posting deals in the comments.

You've posted 9 posts in 5 years and you're telling me I need to contribute?

          I only post a deal when I think it's a real bargain…

        • Thanks. I've posted the Star Mart deal.

I think with items like iTunes gift cards they're always worth posting, because when you've run out of credit (as I just did), 10% off is better than paying full price when you're going to buy something on iTunes.

Fair enough, down-vote it as a bad deal, but don't criticise the fact that it's posted at all.

        • I'm not sure why you posted this comment after you posted the better more accessible 20% off.

        • +1

Because I wasn't aware of that deal before I posted this one. At the time, this was the best deal I could find. Since I found a better deal, I posted that too.

Since I found a better deal

          Erm, okay.

I may have "found" it by reading someone else's comment, but that's irrelevant ;-) I've credited the source.

        • Dude…

Fine. "BECAME AWARE" of it then. I'm not trying to take credit for it. Just a poor choice of words.

    • not to jump in here, but would OW pricematch that?

    the lowest denominator

  • not a deal. check jv's link

  • nowadays few stores have 25% off itunes cards. so sad.

Have to agree with jv this time, 10% off is a deal, but a lousy deal for iTune cards. And "special order" for the deal? Not many people are going to be bother with the hassle.

Edit: Neg for the deal, not for your effort bteq.

    • Officeworks always lists itunes cards as "special order". They probably do this because they can print them on demand. You don't need the credit-card-looking itunes cards, I have previously bought itunes "cards" where all I received was a slip of cash register paper with the codes printed on it by the cash register.

The credit-card type itunes cards are excellent for gifting, but they are really only a pretty way of giving you a printed number.

Does anyone actually buy these 3 X $10 packs normally? Someone must. If you buy them, can you enlighten me as to why? I'm assuming it's so you can split amongst children, but it's always seemed weird to have such small amounts.

    • Apple probably found that people purchasing for their own use will only credit one card to their account, and put the others in a drawer. This increases the chance that the cards will be lost, or forgotten until after they have expired.

The whole reason gift cards are liked by retailers is that about one quarter of them are never used and expire. Lost and unused cards are more profitable for the manufacturer, as they don't have to give any of the proceeds to the musical artists. If they can find a way to increase the number of "lost" cards, they will use it..

  • i bought 3 x $50 cards for christmas presents from officeworks online and guess what the kids tried to activate them on christmas day and the cards werent activated by officeworks before sending them. no words describe how angry i was :(

  • don't buy itune cards if it's not more than 20% off

  • Sorry negged this cause basically anyone who buys an iTunes card without a 20% or more discount isn't a true ozbargainer.
