Toshiba U920T/023 Ultrabook Slider @ $649 Delivered from Officeworks (50% off RRP $1,299)

180

First of all, it is strictly not a 100% deal since it is a clearance sale. However, the beauty is that you could still order it on OWs website and the order could be either picked up at your favorite OWs stores or delivered to you directly. Both methods are free for me.

Back to the point, I choose this over ASUS T100 because my hands are too big…LOL… besides you could get a double powerful CPU, a double size ram, a double size and real SSD (not eMMC), a larger size screen, and a full size keyboard under 1.5kg for paying extra 200 bucks. The cons are 1)not detachable 2)not chargeable by USB 3)only 5.5 hours battery life.

The Clearance price is 50% off of the RRP 1299.

  • I love this, think it's an awesome price, except i had to get the samsung 700t1c since i wanted the full HD.

I watched a review on YouTube saying that the Samsung model has a connection problem — a slight touch on the screen will cause the keyboard disconnected. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-lqd38myN4 around 8mins
Hope they had fix this. BTW, its over my budget.

      • FYI, never had this issue, not even heard about it until now.

I use this on the train which shakes and all and it's fine.

        Man i must be lucky!

        • Glad to see they have fixed it or you are the lucky man.

The current model doubles the ssd size and has an i5 instead of an i3 for around $150 more, might want to keep that in mind. Otherwise a good clearance price.

    • What is the current model?

  • lol its been this price online at officeworks for a long time i nearly bought it 3 months ago.

i love how laptops are getting so cheap these days. still not cheap enough to throw out my old one and replace but almost there lol

  • 128 is pretty small

    • That's what she said

      • and she was measuring in millimetres !!

Gerry sells it for 794. So the original RRP is ancient history if it was ever sold at that price.

ahhh officeworks, the place of VERY little stock

right now: 1 store near Sydney (within 500kms), None near Brisbane, and None near Melbourne

    • why you want to pick up when you can get it delivery for free??

  • i3
    1366x768

    • Feel free to post better specced laptops at a similar price.

  • RRP is irrelevant. Samsung is trying to get rid of a dodgy product that has problems by the looks of things.
