I got this just before Christmas from the Logitech Shop for the same price. I don't use play/pause buttons much so for me it's a fantastic remote. If your budget can stretch you can get the Ultimate from ebay for $259 shipped from Logitechshop.

I hear the harmony one is a better remote

    • We have both the Harmony one and Harmony Touch (We don't think the Harmony one will last that much longer for us, and we are getting used to its replacement early).
We do find the Harmony one to be easier to use because you have actual touch buttons that "we" prefer (Like number buttons etc), but having had a touch for over a month now, we are fiding them both about the same now. The only real draw back for us is the location of the stop/ play/ pause forward and rewind buttons, they are placed at the very top of the remote, and unless I had fingers as long as ET I just cannot reach them while holding with one hand (To be able to use one handed), so it makes those button controls a two hand operation for us.
Don't know if anyone else has this issue as well. It may have been designed around one hand use of ET after all :-)
Plus, we could not just export all our settings from the old Logitech online configuration software, you have to use their new online software that will not import your settings. Bit of a bummer, but it was easy enough to open up the old settings screen, and copy the settings one by one to the new software.

  • How do the Logitech remotes work with Foxtel - have had mixed experiences with other universal IR devices…

In my experiences there haven't been any issues with my Harmony remotes with Foxtel or previously Austar.
