Yeah. I wonder what would people's reaction be when you pull out your "iFone" in AppleCentre or NextByte and start making phone calls :)
USD$159 delivered (~AUD$195) is not too bad for a GSM phone with 2MP camera with video playback. There are a few of them bidding higher than $159 on eBay and have more descriptions and photos (sometimes I do wonder whether eBay sellers are simply reselling DX products with drop-shipping and profit the differences…)
Still waiting for the brave soul :)
I wonder if they will also release an "iFod".
Btw, here is a video demo of the iFone in action (although this one has actually the iPhone logo on the back). Looks pretty cool for U$159. :)
Note that from DX's photo with its back opened, it actually says "Made in Taiwan" so the phone might be made across the strait but the battery is definitely made in China. From the YouTube video, CECT is also identifiable when you open the back so I guess they are actually the same phone.
Funny that the model in the video has Outlook Express logo for emails, and the one in DX's photos has Gmail logo for emails. Both have Quicktime logo for video playback though.
I prefer the ones with the bitten apple logo on it though :)
