damn you're quick :p great first post!

    • +21

      Thank you :)

First post indeed but been a lurker for quite a while - its about time I give something back to the community :)

  • +23

Nice - thats dinner sorted, all I need now is a 5L box of wine and I'll be living the dream.

    • +13

I think you need more ambitious dreams.

    • +2

That is hardly dinner. Tiny bit of chips and one strip? Are you 5?

      • +39

yeah but go around to enough RR stores and you'll have collected a feast ;)

        • +16

          That's the Ozbargain spirit!

        • +1

lol not sure how convincing a woman with a mustache is going to be….maybe i go in again wearing a different sock

        • tie your hair up, or let your hair down. and its free too.

    • +2

5L? Holy moly, you don't muck around, dazza!

      • +4

Would expect no less from someone named dazza ;-)

    • +1

Is that you? Dazza from Housos? Where will you steal the wine?

    • Sorted - Berri

  • Snack times! Thanks heaps!

  • Nice.. thanks.
I am predicting record + vote for this…

  • +1

Great so print-out valid if that's (email) how you received it, hoping they accept B+W print-outs.

    • +5

i predict some stores will do everything to avoid coughing up the freebie….the Perth Carillon City store guaranteed! manager there is a massive bellend

      • +4

The manager at mine was dumbfounded. Started passing my phone around amongst the emplyees…thought someone was going to accidentally close the pic revealing this page.

        I was not discovered ;-)

    • +1

The voucher even says that you only need to show the voucher, not surrender it. So maybe show it on your phone and no need to print?

      • +1

Just save it on your gallery or whatever it's called. That way you wont even need a connection.

  • +3

Great! lunch sorted for the next month

    • +1

And an extra 5kg on the belly to go with it.

      • How many calories in a strip and 13 chips? Maybe 400?

        • Ahh nup.

The chips on their own are 1000kj+.

Those things are evil…. so damn tasty but so damn bad for you.

        • +1

          1,000kj is only 240 calories.

Crispy strips have approx 140 calories. So 400 calories total is about right.

        • 400 calories is nothing

        • Less than a quarter of your daily intake.

        • +1

          @jonsnow

good call mate… yep, I agree. (plus vote for your white man maths magic) :)

  • Thanks, love red rooster

  • +1

awesome. time to print some off for my staff so they can go grab a small feed.

    • +4

      Christmas work lunch?

      • that was last week. still have plenty of left over beers in the work fridge.

  • +28

    "Free Strip & Chips!"

Can I redeem this at my local gentlemen's club and casino?

    • It's the only way you can be sure that the strip will contain real breast meat, so in the interests of health I believe you're on a winner here :).

      • +12

You obviously haven't been to a strip joint since implants were invented.

    • i accidentally asked for a free strip while ordering tonight >_< so much awkward

  • If you can still find a RR around.. Probably only 10 left in SA. The one at Salisbury was turned into a scrumptious delicious bakery with drive thru :) (My Bruce McAvaeny moment)

    • Hows about a trade? You can have some of our 70-odd stores in WA. We need some more scrumptious delicious drive-through bakeries.

      • +2

Trade for Sizzler and its a deal ;)

        • +1

Keep your hands off our Sizzler!

  • +22

Cheers OP, here is a 3-to-a-page image to print :)

    • +2

Didn't take long for someone to make a page of coupons :)

    • 4 fits on A4 as well.

      • We got 6 on a page.

        • how?

        • make them micro sized, I guess

  • Don't look a gift horse in the mouth

  • How do you know if participating?
Do you have to show some form of membership? ie. Club Red?

    • there's no membership card. nor any participating store lists that i can find

  • thanx op :-)

  • +2

Offer ends 31/01/14. That's a fair way off to have a few thousand OzBargainers coming through everyday!!!

    • i thought it was a misprint and they meant 31/12/2013. but noooooo ^_^

  • +17

    Christmas present sorted

    • +2

      best line ever :)

    • lol

  • This is going to be oz bargained for sure!!!
I know I'm going to smash this! :)

    Thanks OP!!

  • Well just walked to the local…girl looked at voucher…$4.00 on till….then gives back voucher.
    Nice tummie warmer…..
Then girl asks for voucher back and takes it.
It was worth the walk ;)

    • +8

Boy prints voucher again and repeats process daily until expiry

  • +2

Who wants to start a competition to see who can exploit this the most? :)

    • +10

First place wins a heart attack

      • geeeet in my bellllleee

    • +1

No. That's a great way to ensure they either stop accepting it or never give out freebies again

    • +3

Alright I take my initial comments back. Those strips are actually making feel quite ill (I've done 8 packs over the last couple of days)

  • +6

I was wondering if we could Print a few and give it to the homeless. Will RR honour that?

    • great idea mate!

  • Maybe someone can do a pdf with multiples. OzBargainers may not care about their arteries, but they care about the environment (or at least the cost of printing)

  • Don't you have to be a 'Club Red' member to receive this offer?

    • there's no membership card so you can't prove you are or aren't a member.

      • +9

There's a secret handshake, it's grabbing your rooster until its red.

  • I don't know, I've never been a club red member and never had issues claiming these deals.

  • +1

    Works at Erindale ACT!

    • Thanks mate, we will go there surely then :))

  • +1

Great to see Red Rooster join the freebie bandwagon after HJ, Maccas and KFC, but there aren't any stores in Sydney 2000 :(

  • +3

Did any one else get this email? I usually get all the club red offers but didn't receive this one.

    • Same here, but I do remember receiving a different offer a few days ago

      • +1

If it's this one I received that too. Funny I didn't receive this one. Is OP a rep?

        • Lets bring out the NCISozbargain shall we?

        • Fake?

        • i just got the voucher in my email today

    • I also got the email, so it's not a fake.

  • +2

Thanks OP- Kalamunda Red Rooster accepted the voucher image you posted no problem (used my mobile). I ended up buying some chicken dinners as well (which I had not planned on doing) so it was a good promotion for RR in my case.

  • Does it say you can only use it once? I know you can just reprint another one, but I want to do the right thing.

    • +1

Limited at one per person per transaction

there's nothing on that voucher - barcode, names or unique codes - that would allow them to enforce once-only usage.

it also doesn't say how many transactions you can do per day/in the same store.

      have fun with that ;)

    • +4

There's no guilt involved anyway, because apparently you won't remember you went there:

      http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-12-17/nsw-study-links-junk-f…

  • Nothing beats FREE! thanks OP

  • Hi guys is it on every store. I went to red roaster in Middleborough rd in blackburn they say they don't do it. Which store does do the deal?
    Cheers. Jack

    • Doncaster accepts it, just got them for lunch.

  • Had it for breakfast, it was so tasty!

  • +2

Can confirm this works at both Southern Cross and Bourke St in Melbourne.

No purchase required, no questions asked, multiple coupons accepted.

I will be sad when Red Rooster goes out of business by end of Jan based on the amount of clicks this has had already, and it only started today!

  • +2

Garden City store not accepting the voucher.

    • -1

God I hate when people post these comments with zero details. On what grounds did they reject?

      • +2

they dont need to give a reason. they can just say, nope, not here, go away.

being garden city, i wouldnt be surprised. the franchise owners there are tightarses when it comes to freebies.

        • Exactly - the girl at the counter gave it to the manager and after looking at it quite dumbfounded they told me they weren't participating in the deal. I am a club red member (for what it's worth!) and used the voucher I was emailed. Sigh.

        • i would send a polite note to the RR and ask for clarification or give them a heads up that they have franchise not playing ball.

    • +2

Unjustified neg. I'm glad you went out of your way to tell us so that people don't waste their time trying
