I just purchased a SSD drive to put in my laptop. Can I use this software to copy the entire drive to my new SSD or do I have to reinstall windows and transfer files that way?

Create an image of your existing drive, create a bootable USB, boot the laptop using the USB after installing the SSD, then recover the image to SSD
You can always use the built in backup software for Windows. That's what I use and has never failed me.

I got the free O&O Defrag offer once. It regularly nagged me about upgrading and tried to trick me into upgrading by flagging that "a new version was available".
Uninstalled it never to be seen again!
Get an SSD and you should never have to defrag again.
Got this warning:

It may mean something along the lines of:
