I tried a sample of the tomato curry and these are very good. Much better quality ingredients/product than what is typically sold in supermarkets.

  • Just took the plunge and ordered this! I saw they also give a free tomato curry when it's your first online order too :)

  • ordered, thanks!

  • curry lover here,
    but

come on, 100g packets? i'm sure its mofo tasty but wouldnt ur sales volume increase if it wasnt that damn expensive?

have to pass at this price, im sorry

    • I'm not sure larger packets would work well because they use a lot of fresh ingredients. It's not like a curry paste you get in a supermarket, it has whole mustard seeds, herbs, cumin, etc. A little hard to explain but I think it's the type of product where you use the whole packet straight away once you've opened it.

Something like a 10 pack for around half the price per kg would be good though.

      • hi,

i understand its great quality and superior to supermarket off the shelf stuff, but we're talking about 70$ per kg here,

i tend to use at least 2kg of meat and freeze some etc. when u factor in the overall cost, as thumbybumbi points out further down it's very expensive (do i need 14$ worth of curry paste for 2kg? lol).

i do suspect its about volume here, you sell less you have to charge more. for example when cd blanks came out, i remember paying 12-15$ per PIECE/EACH. can u imagine paying 12$ for a blank cd these days?

        anyway, rambling on lol

  • Stick to my Mae Ploy 400grams for $4.50 for Thai
and Ferns 380gram for $4.50 for Indian me thinks

Worked well for the last 20 years

Mae Ploy make a good pad thai paste.

surely buying these, plus ingredients such as meat and veggies would work out more expensive than just buying the dishes from a takeaway place?
