Sorry if this is a stupid question but what do you mean by 'i've got 4 years of at the moment'? Are you saying you have paid for 4 years of PS+ subscription or are the games that come with PS+ essentially rentals that expire in 4 years? I've never had a Sony console or handheld before, so I am completely new to the PlayStation eco-system

He's got 4 years of subscription, but ALL games that come with PS+ are rentals that expire the day your subscription lapses. You do not actually own any of them. Despite what people like to say, they are not "free" games.
It is still worth it though. You save money since you dont end up buying the retail versions :P
Worth it to some people, but not to others. I like to own games and to be able to play them years after a consoles generation is over. Only way to do that with PS+ is if you keep paying until the day you die.
After a couple of years, these games will be in the bargain bin for a couple of dollars if you really want to have physical copies after PS+ expires. But yes you are correct, you are only renting these "free" games. The PS+ is from my PS4 that I already had anyway so it's costing me nothing extra

Personally I am on the Gold Coast, Not sure where you are. I am use to online orders been sent out by the end of the day after order has been placed. Maybe EB has a massive backlog order to send out?

I am guessing based on the delivery estimates posted here, that the orders will be sent out Thursday (tomorrow), EB's warehouse is in Brisbane. So getting it this week, will depend on where you are located.

Mine has also changed to the 19th now. I am starting to think, EB games did run out of stock at midnight. But later in the day they thought they could source some more stock, and now they have delays themselves getting the stock needed to fulfil orders. I ordered my Vita plus some other items when the vita came back in stock around midday. Are you guys that have had your orders pushed back, did we all order in the second batch around midday, or have some that stayed up and ordered at midnight also experiencing delays?
I made my order at midday too. I rang up their online call centre just now, and was told my order was in packing stage which means it should be shipped out tomorrow. He wasn't sure why it had updated to the 24/12/2014 and said it could be a mistake.
I ordered mine at midday, it is still processing.

It really tells you something when you can get stuff sooner from the other side of the planet using standard mail.
To the warehouse guys:
It's better to use crunched-up brown paper to cushion the contents than rely on a 6-rectangle strip of large sealed air thingies. 3 of the 6 portions of my sealed air strip were popped and after they pop they provide zero cushioning. Not sure if they were popped on purpose to fit in the box better, but my unit was moving around in the box like crazy. Sub-par.
Scrunched up brown paper surrounding the contents of precious cargo before sealing the box is far better, and has to be cheaper and more effective to fit stuff in snugly.
All that aside…EB finally delivered!

Mine too, so I called them. They said they ran out of stock and aren't able to fill all of the Vita orders yet.
They are trying to source some stock from elsewhere and are otherwise waiting on management to decide what they are going to do before they email all of the affected customers. There is no ETA and you can cancel to get a refund if you want, but they are aware of it and working on it…
I'm really wishing I hadn't gone out and bought a bunch of Vita games in the mean time (and my girlfriend has bought me one for Xmas, too). So seeing as I'm now stuck in the platform I'll wait a while longer and hope they can pull through.
I'll forgive them if they sweeten the deal to make up for their mistake and delay :-(

Reminds me of The Good Guys scenario. I guess they have been OzBargained, despite their site offering the special price only in strategic windows of shopping opportunity on that day. You couldn't add the item to your cart all throughout the day.
