hmm, managed to reserve one in Ballina (8 hours from me but inlaws would be able to pick it up). Can someone convince me that my family needs this?
Thanks OP, bought one…. plenty of stocks around Melbourne. :)
Who needs next-gen when you have a deal like this and 100's of awesome games to play!
Picked up the second last one from Brisbane City, thanks OP
Thanks OP I got one :). Did anyone pay for the extra year of warranty that the Dick Smith employee was trying to sell me. I didn't get the warranty, just wondering if I should have?
an employee tried to sell me one too for $10, knowing that by the time i break mine, xbox one should be of similar price :D
Nah, you shouldn't get it as you should be covered under Statutory warranty (ACL) even after the warranty period.
Thank you for your reply :). Do you know how long an xbox 360 is covered under the statutory warranty?
Sorry for the late reply, but the law's rather non-specific.
An example they give is: A reasonable consumer would expect more than two years’ use
from a $6000 television. Under the consumer guarantees, the consumer therefore has a statutory
right to a remedy on the basis that the television is not of acceptable quality. The supplier must provide a remedy free of charge.
I'd say it'd cover at least 2-3 years, but don't quote me on that.
I bought this $399 more than 2 years ago, and played less than 20 times, so each time is about $10…
erhhh
i dont get why i got 3 negs?
I guess people think it doesn't apply to them but you have my support. Breaking it down that was is useful to see whether you wasted your money or not. I often do that with buying video games, working out what it costs per hour and comparing it to a movie or something else I enjoy.
Thanx op- got one :)
struggling……………..hand Slap myself .
Buy first think later.
Got a call from The Pines store to make sure I wanted it 20 mins after I reserved it. Just in time, thanks OP

In case anyone is interested, picked mine up from Point Cook this evening at COB and I believe there was still one left
The missus loves just dance 4 on the ps3 with the silly move controller. Will this make a good replacement? No controllers are required for the kinetic thing?
Correct you just need someone that doesn't care if they look silly.
Any cheap xbox 360 controllers?
Thanks OP, got one in SA. Apparently Golden Grove store had 3 left as of this afternoon. I got the last from Ingle Farm.
If you wonder where they went: here !

Wonder if this person works at dse
Thanks OP. Got one at Jesmond DSE yesterday at 18:00. 2 remaining in stock at the time.
Can confirm that $199 package does contain 1 x Wireless Controller.
I picked up one last one from Point Cook DSE. They have few units left for this other one - http://www.dicksmith.com.au/xbox-360/xbox-360-250gb-kinect-c…, which has one less game (rest is same).
Costco Ringwood have heaps and I think they were $212, but I wouldn't drive all over the country to save a few bucks, are they really reduced by $179 from Dicks?
I managed to reserve one from Rockhampton and bought it for $184.07 with the woolies staff discount card.
I make an order on 5-Dec (order number is 100131908). The status is pending, so I give a call to Northland shop and they said no stock. So what can I do now?
Seems to be out of stock throughout Victoria.
Wow awsome deal.. Cheers
