    How do they compare to the [email protected]% (tho they dont just take the manufacturers word and list them as 50WRMS in catalogue) Jaycar equivalent which sound awesome (far too powerful for a 4x20WRMS head unit), have full gain and cutoff frequency control under a removable guard and cost less all the time?

    I've had one of these for a couple of years now. Initially put it in the back of my Impreza wagon, and now it's installed inside the spare tyre of my Liberty wagon.

    I've gotta say, I've been really happy with this. Obviously you're not gonna host a street party with this thing, so you need to keep your expectations in check.

    However, at normal to decently loud listening levels, and once you've tweaked the levels adequately, this has given my system an awesome low end boost. It's reasonably clean and smooth, but doesn't hit those super low sub bass levels that two 12's taking up the entire boot of the car would.

    I can't sacrifice boot space in my vehicles, so this thing has been perfect for me. Cheap, easy to install, ready to go.

    Btw, I paid around $150 (50% off) two years ago.

    If you need a slimline and are prepared to pay (much) more, apparently the Focal Slimline Subs are the go…
