      they won't price beat if it's the same price…….they purposely match competitor price so you could not use the price beat policy….

      So, tell me:

      Does the Mac software let an Apple notebook (or Mac desktop) access -other- Seagate HD's, as well as this one?

      Would it let you access the same size/kind of Seagate HDD, if not all of Seagate's HDD's… or does it have to have some signature code, that the driver S/W needs to work?

      (If so, there'd be a -bit- of value there, for those with a MacBook Pro, etc.)

      PS It's a -pain- to need to -buy- or pay more for the driver S/W, in a converging world of similar products.
