don't buy this.
I got this faulty in 9 month, then take around 2 months to return and repair.
Then guess what, its still faulty. Got refund from JB-hifh, and never buy this brand anymore.
My 42" Soniq FHD LCD 100hz lasted 3-4 years and never missed a beat.
My 42" Soniq not-full-HD lasted 6 years and still works.
i wish my 3yr old soniq would blow up so i can replace it with something good
my 42" Soniq still works well in the spare room, never had any problems in 2 years
My 32" Soniq not-full-HD is still going strong after 7 years.
Love soniq too, my 50" soniq plasma is about 4/5 years old and still going perfectly, it's been on for about 8 hours a day since I got it..
My 32" Soniq not-full-HD is still going strong after 7 days, and I'm hopeful that continues!
Love soniq too, my 50" soniq plasma is about 4/5 years old and still going perfectly, it's been on for about 8 hours a day since I got it..
Insert plasma tv consumption debate here…
my 26" soniq with inbuilt DVD plyer is still working great after 1 year.
seriously, my 32" FullHD Soniq still going strong after couple of years, love it for $249 or $299?!
32" HD (not FullHD) always been around $199…….
My 32" 1366x768 6 year old Soniq still works great, only recently replaced it with a 40" FHD Akai.
Same my 7 year old one still works fine
my nan soniq 32" tv she got for 199 work fine she has it on 24hours a day. 16months old now.
my 8 " mousiestick is lasting 30 years not missing any beats unless on fuglies.
We had one, worked fine, then after almost 2 years the sound died. JB upgraded us to the LED version at no cost, it's still going fine more than a year later. Zero complaints. If it died tomorrow it's cost us <$33 a year for a nice clear TV in the bedroom.
Did you get an extended warranty?
Two soniq tv's both failed within 10 months.
My soniq fhd lcd has lasted me 36 years it's on 24/7 and i often open the window and let it get rained on never missed a beat even when i watch drum solos on it.
it must have cost a bomb back in '77.
I bet the TV is older than you……
I would consider these if you are after a cheapo -

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Soniq-E32Z11AT2-32-FHD-LED-LCD-TV…Why would someone want to pay more for a cheapo, especially a refurb
Some people are willing to pay a bit more for full high definition and 100Hz.
Some people are willing to pay a bit more for full high definition and 100Hz.
But only 32"? That must be a very select group. Can you name one?
must be a very select group willing to pay more for a refurbished Medion and Soniq, good luck with that.
I'll not recommended the Medion(Aldi brand) if comparing to Soniq…..
I think the Soniq are much better, specially the software like PVR & EPG
wait nvm, dont mind this
eold have the aldi tv for 210 delivered
they keep bringing them back to $199 for past good 1.5 yrs now
Mines still going strong, has been 9 months now. Its slow, picture definitely doesn't compare to what I'd call a "decent" TV but it does the job and is good for the price IMO.
slow? try the Aldi brand… :-P
Waste of money, hardly used mine and I paid 200 with 20 off due to gift cards. Had to repair mine due to abuzz ing noise it was doing. The picture quality is not good either
I think you have saved yourself by not spending too much - well done!
the picture quality isnt very nice, had I look in store today.
had I looked in store today I would probably agree :-P
Not trying to be an ass but…I've no idea how people can watch a Non-Full-HD-TV.
Sometimes we succeed without trying.
On this size tv you cannot see the difference between fhd and hd at normal viewing distance. Besides how much fhd content is there on tv……Not much.
Playing a game at 1080p vs 768p is a world of difference.
some people think stock iphone earphones are good…….
I know people that run their 24" pc lcd's @ 800x600 because they like the larger "pixels"Full HD at 32" is for all intents and purposes unnoticeable. That being said I reckon this is a better deal if for nothing else but the placebo of FHD.
I still have a CRT. Do I win?
Bought the legendary $299 full HD one back 2.5 yrs ago and it's been going good still with occasional use.
Still wish 32" LCDs would drop to around $150.
Still wish 72" LCDs would drop to around $150.
My 1366 x 768 HD $299 Soniq died 14 months out of box (2 months out of warranty). Took it to the JB we purchased it from, spat some consumer law at them and they replaced it with this model on the spot.
Sales assistants in big chain stores must love people coming in and spitting consumer law at them. I guarantee they know more about consumer law than you do (small shops another issue).
If they know so much why do they tell me i need 3 year replacement warranties?
To make money.
noob question, is this a new model. I had seen the 32 inches on sale @ $199 for a long long time
The last time I bought a Soniq 32" for $199 I'm quite sure it wasn't the LED model. It had much thicker bezels too.
Hey guys i'm concidering getting this or is this better value. http://www.ccpu.com.au/show_prod.php?class_id=monitors-led&p… or http://www.ccpu.com.au/show_prod.php?class_id=monitors-led&p… Do any of you own a MEDION TV? Any comments? Cheers
39" for $250 is a steal, i might just get that !!!
