Logitech Z-5500 Digital $340 today 11 May at Fluidtek (pick-up)

140

Fluidtek is selling the Logitech Z-5500 Digital speakers for $349 this weekend!

According to staticice the cheapest price is $395 at IT Estate and considering these retail for $800 it's a pretty sweet deal.

Their site is not the best (they don't have product pages) and I'm not sure if you can order online as this is the first thing I bought from them. But if you live in Sydney it could be worth the drive to pick one up. I drove there this morning to buy my set and seemed to have a few left as of 12 noon today.

Better of calling them for more info.

Edit: Price has been reduced to $345
Edit: The deal has been extended to Monday 11 May 2009 at a reduced cost of $340

  • nice price, if you don't mind the terrible rude service.

  • the site/shop is a total disgrace. I emailed several times to enquire to see if I could order something online two weeks ago and out of 5 emails got 0 replies.

rofl, don't bother with eddy, he has good deals but don't expect anything else.

oh and with emails…you should've learnt by now not to bother. He makes enough of a living just from walk in customers, he doesn't need to bother with ppl who email asking if they have parts.

  • yeah…worst service I've ever recieved. And obviously they are too 'busy' to answer emails or phone calls, so you have to go there..then get turned away :D

The service wasn't that bad when I went there lol

These types of stores are for those people who know exactly what they want and at the cheapest price. Personally I don't really care about customer service, I'd rather have the extra cash in my wallet.

And by the way the price has been reduced to $345!

    • Yea lol i agree,

  • After seeing a recent deluge of absolutely horrid PC speakers being posted on OzBargain this is refreshing.

These babies are absolutely top-notch. Fully THX certified, Dolby Digital/Pro Logic II compatible and 505Watt RMS, more than enough for any PC setup.

Great price … I agree with the don't bother sending an email comment though. Tried to do business with them before and haven't received any replies. Eddy sounds like a character … he must have low overheads to get away with treating customers with disregard and still make a reasonable living. If you can't drive there … you're out of luck.

I can thoroughly recommend these speakers. I use these for my home theatre … cheap way to setup a somewhat reasonable 5.1 TV setup. These things are loud enough and have excellent sound quality. I chose to rewire the speakers and put wall plates in. Easy enough to pull the satellites apart and solder in better speaker wire (by drilling a slightly larger hole in the satellite speaker) and gold plated connectors on to the shortened cables. Speaker brackets from Jaycar allow you to mount them to the walls (for some reason the proper stands don't pivot the right way to be drilled into the wall on a 45 deg angle). I have the same setup in two rooms and it sounds a million times better than TV speakers (using toslink/optical cables). I'm using the Z-2300's for my PC which are also a great desktop setup.

  • The deal has not expired, its now 340 dollars for monday pick up only
