    $39.90/month

    Unlimited + 1GB = even more unlimited?

    • -8

Read the image. 4GB of data + 1GB Free (Total 5GB) it's really not that hard to understand. Logically, would anyone offer unlimited data @ $39.99? No. Common sense.

Sorry I'm not having a go at you, I'm having a go at companies who use the term 'unlimited' inappropriately.

Meanwhile, my 10GB data pack is about to expire x_x

      • Joined up yesterday. Had no idea there were referrals. Damn.

        • call and cancel if they havent shipped your sim :)

  • doesn't mention anything about it in the T&C but I'm guessing post-paid customers that have auto-renewal (like myself) will received the bonus automatically?

    • All you have to do is make sure you renew amaysim UNLIMITED in January & February as well so you don't miss out on your bonus 1GB of data.

    • Wondering the same thing. Let me know if you find out. Doubt I'll need it though. 4GB is way more than I go through in a month anyway.

    • Yeah my data just restarted and I was shocked and happy to see 5.1gb of data available. So hadn't checked to see why till I just saw this post. Very pleased as last month I used 3.9gb tethering!

  • Is this better than Boost's $40 unlimited deal?

    • +1

I'm on boost. Odds are I'll switch back to Amaysim as I only get 3GB Data on Boost. Sucks I just missed out on their 50% off unlimited prepaid packs though.

      • Unlimited?

      • They are in this week's Dick Smith catalogue, so you can still get it.

  • title and description aren't very accurate so not sure if you fully understand the conditions but you must renew once in December, once in january and once in February to receive the 1GB for all 3 months.

    • I just had a look on their facebook.

Simply renew, exactly how you do every month. Continuously, and the extra GB will be added automatically.

What if your on direct debit?

You will still receive the bonus automatically.

    • And do you qualify for dec bonus gb if you miss jan or feb?
"All you have to do is make sure you renew amaysim UNLIMITED in January & February as well so you don't miss out on your bonus 1GB of data."
Id guess so, but wording looks lazy to me

      • You would receive your bonus 1GB in December, so if you don't renew in January, February, they can't go back in time?

  • Do they have Optus 4G now?

  • +1

Do they still bill in per MB increments? Beware, I just moved from amaysim due to this. It will churn through data if you have a lot of push services.

    • i use my iPhone throughout the day everyday (heavy user) with amaysim and never gone close to going over my data limit of 4GB, i am certain they don't do MB increments they do however charge by the MB for excess data i believe

      • All extra data is $0.05/MB (charged per MB).

      • yep.all Optus resellers seem to do this. one reason I never renewed …especially bad if u use it in a low or poor signal area.

  • Would this be the best price for the most data? Does the MB rounding make the 4GB useless?

    • Partially yea. Although the most it may cost may be 1MB-for each 5 you DL, there's a bit of give with one hand, taketh w/ the other ringing true for OPTUS' tenants.

I happily utilised ALDI up until that point T'Wholesale did /kogan/Ali over, appended this 400MB/d retarded limit and inflated $5pGB to the gravely lurid level /Boost/Aldi/Telstra/ find themselves in today_-$14+pGB.

Managed to trim that back by 90%. 95%coverage pay $14.25 &rec up to 10,800MB, /kB counted, 'n unmetered Txt's instead.. . Ya remember the noughties > Everywhere offers 200-300mb, so these blokes inject pack= 2GB/X-Series. Seems they are back. Seemly causing others to buckle , hence 'a gb' here 'a free150 min' there, retain 480.oo p/a. :|

    • Data sessions last longer than you may expect if you live in an area with decent signal. Don't expect to be charged a MB everytime your phone gets your emails or you click on a single website. Although the details are shady so long as you don't push for data and then leave it for a few hours the data session should last for most of the day.

Turning your phone on and off, dropping in and out of 3G and things like that may cause big spikes in data sessions.

And from all of the research I've done, amaysim may now be the most value for money unlimited plan around (now that Aldi have dropped to 2.5gb). I know that so long as there's no major issues I'll be sticking with them for at least a few months.

It doesn't matter how Amaysim do their rounding, nor it matters how much extra data they give you cos you will never able to use it with the patchy Optus network.
