For a limited time only, eBay is offering all Qualifying Sellers who offer PayPal as a payment method, free auction listings when your auction start price is 99c. It's for one day only from 12:01am Sunday 9 September 2007 until 11:59:59pm Sunday 9 September 2007 (All times AEST.)
All you have to do is:
List an item for sale by auction on ebay.com.au on Sunday 9 September 2007 and
Offer PayPal as a payment method and
Start your auction at 99c
It’s that easy!
NOTE:
Store Inventory format, fixed price and Classified Ad, Cars, Motorcycles, Boats, Other Vehicles, Services & Real Estate are excluded.
All other listing fees including listing upgrades, final value fees, format fees, subscription fees, and PayPal fees apply as normal.
Listings created during the Promotional Period but scheduled to start after the Promotional Period are excluded.
Listings that do not offer PayPal as a payment method through Sell Your Item or Turbo Lister are excluded.
Listings that contravene eBay's or PayPal's policies are excluded.
I think the catch is that you need to start your auction at 99 cents, which do not apply to all types of items. Also how much is the insertion fee for 99 cents items? 30 cents according to eBay Fees, so not a lot of saving for occasion sellers.
Maybe good for big sellers pushing out hundreds of items a day.
