Help Mods some assistance please. MOD: main link doesn't get the special price. Use this link instead. Note that it might say a referral link, which we will investigate.

Got this from my email (sale says Email only price) and it's a great flashlight at this price.

For some reason I can't get the 3.99 price unless I use the link in the email and OZB thinks it's an affiliate link so I can't post it anyone got any ideas? No coupon is provided or needed for this deal just follow the (email link) and it shows as $3.99.

    • Dang it i deleted the email already also. Bought some anyway, great Christmas gift. Cheers Scar

Ok no problem yeah they'd make a great Xmas gift dunno if they'd make it here on time though.
I'd post the link if a mod would say it'd be ok. As far as I know it's not an affiliate link or at least not mine I'm just ripping it from the email.

Wonder how many times you need to say MODS to get some MODS?

  • so anyone have any ideas how to post this deal link without getting banned?
    Mods any help?

    • Post the link at the bottom of the deal description. Even if it was a referral link this would still be allowable.

    • cant you put the affiliate link in the description (as long as you mark it as such)?

edit damn beaten by 24 seconds :)

      • As of 23 Oct 2013, affiliate links are not allowed on OzBargain, including affiliate links for banggood.com. This means no affiliate links anywhere, including the main URL or deal description. Please see deal posting guidelines for affiliate/referral links for more information.

        • Maybe can put in comment instead? But not in description

        • I dunno seems pretty clear when it says No affiliate links anywhere Although I'm not sure this is a affiliate link but it brings up the warning when I put it in.

        • technically it is an affiliate link, even tho unlike normal you dont actually get any benefit out of it (as far as i know)

        • I've pm'd a mod to see what the verdict is about this and hopefully I can post it.

        • ok mods are looking at it but have added the link to the main description see above.

  • Can you not add the referral link in the description instead, like those posting gaming deals?

  • +3

This link is for a similar torch @ $3.99 CREE XPE-Q5 600 Lumen 7W Zoomable LED Flashlight 1x14500

    • +1

This says 600 lumen compared to Ultrafire which is only 300 lumen. So is this better and cheaper?

      • Maybe the xpe q5 because it takes normal batteries too (at lower lumen output).

        • +1

Looks like the XPE-Q5 takes normal batteries too. Says so in the description.

        • Um… That's what I said…

  • Is this the same as this?
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/120441

    • Looks like they are the same but I am not sure. I have one of those in your link and they are great. Super bright and I think the 1 AA lasts longer and brighter than another bigger cree light I have using 3 x AAA.

  • Finally received this earlier this week. Quality is not as good as the one I bought from Amazon. The lens head, which you pull in and out to zoom, is loose (ie. wobbles a little). The one I bought from Amazon looks very similar to this, also Q5 but doesn't have the branding Ultrafire or Cree. Basically it's a black unit without any printed brand. Build quality is so much better.
