i sometimes wonder if retailers think we are retarded to pay that for last generations tech
many people probably can't afford a PS4, plus you need to buy games. So a PS3 plus 4 games would be great a choice for them. and not everyone is interested in the lasted tech
Not to mention;
- PS+ still includes PS3 games
- PS4 requires PS+ for online gameplay
- PS4 cannot play PS3 games
- PS3 has a huge library of games
I can easily see an advantage of owning a PS3 as well as a PS4, even if it was simply to take advantage of PS+ games.
i can easily see the disadvantages
- ps3 resell value is extremely low now that ps4 is around the corner
- ps4 is future proof for years to come to which ps3 is ending it time as sonys best.
- ps4 not only has better game but has better online PSN which ps3 is lacking
id say 150 extra is worth the extra.

But seriously, many of the next gen titles have been delayed, and some of the release day games have been reviewed as 'meh' (Killzone, knack etc).I don't disagree with you, this deal while being a pretty good bundle in terms of game quality is also relatively expensive. It is better (as you commented below) to get just a basic 500GB bundle and play a lot of the older/cheaper PS3 titles (or even just the PS+ 'freebies') and save your self some money. Unless, of course, you actually wanted these highly regarded games.
Why? The PS4 has a handful of games and only a couple are actually worthwhile. If you've never owned a PS3 you have a library of hundreds of quality games and you get 4 great games in this bundle.
In a few months when Amazon gets new stock of PS4's they can be had for $399US.
I got myself a PS3 slim with a Free game ( uncharted 2 ) and a HDMI Cable for $179 from Target not that long ago
made a nice birthday gift for my bro! $399 is a bit of a rip off when my deal was so much more reasonableWas that a 500GB model?
Anyway, the games in this bundle would cost $200+, add that to your $179 and the price difference becomes pretty small.
upgradeing the 12 gb console is about 60 bucks to a 500 gb
and why settle for then games when you can decide what games YOU want to get
personaly i dislike assasins creed other may dislike the last of us or need for speed idk what others like
options is what you loose by buying this
plus better to buy ps4 and not worry about getting the next gen console as you would already have it.

Just finished Beyond Two Souls, must say it was awesome!
A few of the chapters look better than anything I've seen on the Next Gen consoles!!!it will take time for next gen consoles max out graphics
Sadly too much emphasis is put on graphics these days rather than gameplay.
sad to say COD Ghosts failed to accomplish both on next gen :D
