Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 $66.30 @ JB Hi-Fi (Instant Camera)

90

hi all!

Firstly thanks to madmouse58 for his post here : http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/122965 for making me aware of the 15% off camera sale

Advertised in JBs current catalogue (ending Wed 20th Nov), they have the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 reduced from $99 to $78 (already a good price). The 15% off sale seems to stack with this, reducing it a further $11.70 to $66.30, effectively a 33ish% discount from the regular price. They also sell the 10 piece film packs for $19.95 which is decent.

The only colors available are black and white.

I haven't extensively researched prices but this is the cheapest I have seen this camera so far. Cheaper than online (imported) products, CameraHouse, Teds, Myers etc etc.

However, for those who dont mind shopping at other locations, Target offers better value and choices for the film, with a 10 pack for $15, 20 pack for $29 and 50 pack for $59. They also sell the camera, but at $88 (do they price match?) and in a larger range of colors. But i say, be nice and buy from the retailer who offered us this deal in the first place - JB! =)

For those seeking a price beat @ Officeworks, they only have this camera at $84 and as a special order. No idea if/how price beating will work. Those who try, feel free to report back!

For those who dont know what this camera is or does, its like a Polaroid, printing out instant photos. Great for parties and fun! Just dont expect DSLR quality ;)

Happy (instant) snapping!

  • Not a bad deal. Target also have this in a bundle in the current toys cat. $88.00 with a 10 pack of film. But still cheaper to buy outright from JB and buy film from Target

  • abot to negative you for ther price of the films and saying its a good price!
    http://machcostore.com/collections/instax-film

this place sells it for 10 bucks each (more u buy less)
can pick up in bankstown for free (Sydney)

overseas these go for around 7-10 bucks so this aint a bad rpice

I have never tried this place before (I always buy overseas) but since u can pick up its better

  • I can appreciate the convenience factor, but really the price of each print is too much. More expensive than developing film. With the price of the paper, they could almost give the cameras away, but that might be a little too obvious.

  • The mini is too small to be worth the hassle. The Instax Wide is where it's at.
