    • It also doesn't get great reviews, nevertheless that is not a valid neg

Also it's a piece of crap not worth $49,990. There are some exceptions when there is actually a good car deal that should be listed on Ozbargain.. this certainly is not one of them. However you're welcome to prove me wrong, please send me a copy of your receipt after you have purchased this amazing offer.

    • Did you miss the fact that's a demo? Although it claims in the ad to only have 11km on it but has been registered for 2 months.. Hmm..

      • -2

Where does it say that it's a demo?? It says the car's done 11km - that's brand-new. No way it can be a demo with only 11km.

        • +5

In the URL, plus the fact it's already registered with a licence plate (hence was registered in September 2013). Last time I checked, new cars aren't registered till they're sold to the first owner!

Jeez, tough crowd (oh the irony)
      Updated

Besides, a real ozbargainer would get the demo with 11km instead of paying extra for rego.

      • -3

The one you linked this time is brand new, however, it's not in my state, and I don't get to choose the color I want.

Besides, a real ozbargainer would get the demo with 11km instead of paying extra for rego.

The reason it was this price is because it's considered second hand. It's been registered for 2 months. Once you drive the car off the lot with a reg plate, it's already lost a good percentage of its value. If you try to return the car the day after you bought it, you might get 80% of its value back as a refund if you're lucky.

    • Dude, your linked car is not brand new. It's already registered.

      Not a valid comparison.

I can't tell when the advertisement was created (or last modified) but my guess is that the dealer was already aware of Subaru Australia's $9000 price drop and has taken it into consideration.

A discount of $2000 from RRP is still very difficult to get from a Subaru dealer.

Our family has bought two new Subaru's from car dealerships, plus I've several friends fail to negotiate $2000 off a new Subaru.

I think this is definitely worth an OzBargain post considering Subaru Australia very rarely has sales. When the manufacturer does have a sale its usually only $1000 off for clearance models and ex-demonstrators.

Tribeca is being discontinued within the next few months.

No its better then WRX, like better brake rods and oil carburator and much more better for dragging people at lights ya know?

    • +2

      Use condoms and you won't.

      • won't need a 7 seat Tribeca either…

  • i don't see the point of posting cars on ozbargains

    • +3

Cause you don't want to end up with a garage full of unused cars gathering dust, like your drawers full of torches and free jerky samples?

    • +1

why not? if it's a genuine bargain… plenty of people are in the market for a car (myself included)
though my budget less than 49,990 :(

  • Hooray another restyled expanded impreza for folks to buy.

Subaru engineers say:- Take the only good mold we have ever made and add more metal, and a couple of seats.

I must have a medical problem - whenever I see a Subaru, I vomit into my month(they're just that ugly.)

I think it's a deliberate ploy made by Subaru to make them this way - ie the potential buyer will think: mmmmmmm if its this ugly and slow, it must have some great other features, safety etc.
Kind of like the opposite of buying a sports car.

Its the same marketing that Volvo used with the boxy 244 from 25 years ago.

Usually one tends to vomit in their mouth :P

      • lol -yes mouth
