OP wasn't sure, I was just helping out. No need to be rude about it.

        • +8

You created an image with shouting characters written in capital. I don't think people see it as a joke.

        • +11

Edit: Never mind. This is pointless.

thanks for that, I was trying to follow the rules and I was not familiar with logitechshop. nice to know about it.

      cheers

  • got 1, thanks.

  • Thanks for posting this. Since the clearance of the previous model K400 ($12 at Officeworks), I've been looking for this to come up on sale again. The price is better than what staticice lists, and comparable price to the old model on sale (except clearance).

I've bought from Logitechshop (both on ebay and through their online shop) in the past with very good results, they are a solid reputable seller if anyone has doubts.

I paid $33ish for it from OW earlier this year and thought it was a bargain!

But it is perfect for lying in bed and browsing on my 40" TV.

Because that is not what I'm doing right now…

very good keyboard. I got one from HN for 22 something still loving it

    • Yep likewise, working on my lounge room atm :)

  • One product image on that page shows it with a secondary language and a much smaller space bar:

    http://www.logitechshop.com.au/media/catalog/product//l/o/lo…

The other one shows a pure english keyboard:

    http://www.logitechshop.com.au/media/catalog/product//l/o/lo…

    So which is it?

    • the logitech website shows it with bigger space bar..so i would say it is second one…

I still cannot afford it. :d

isn't it meant to say logitech on the top right on the keyboard not "logicool''?

    • Heh, nice catch. On the perspective image in the description it has Logitech, but on the square image it's Logicool. Not sure what's up with that.

      • It's because some overseas countries have Logitech marketed as Logicool. I know this is the case for Japanese Logitech products.

    • +3

Logicool is the name Logitech operates under in Japan so maybe this store is selling Japanese stock or maybe they just chose their stock photos poorly.

  • Price match at OW if you don't want to wait for delivery. It is currently at $40.

now i have 3 of these keyboards :S

    • quick question: can you have two of these on two different computers right next to each other with no issue? they would pair with their own receiver on their own separate channel, with no interference?

i have one i use with my HTPC. wouldn't mind a second one to use with my laptop which is also connected to the TV to play games (probably wouldn't use the k400r to play games…mostly use a wireless controller).

      • Should work fine.
The receivers will change frequency band so as not to cause issues.
If you had, say 24 of them in close proximity, then you might notice some issues, but for just two, you should be fine.

The only thing I've noticed, is if I switch a single keyboard between desktop and laptop (each with their own unifying receiver), I've had to delete and re-pair it in the Unifying software, which suggests the keyboard retains which receiver it should be communicating with.
However, that takes about 20 seconds and not a deal breaker for me.

        • cheers.

what i really want is the bluetooth switching from the K810, but with a built-in trackpad like the K400R. if they added the bluetooth switching from the K810 to the K400R, i would buy it immediately!!!

  • Thanks OP. Grabbed both.

  • Just wondered what this keyboard would be like as a regular keyboard instead of on a HTPC? I have a secondary laptop at work that I use for web browsing and emails so don't use it a whole lot during the day. I am a bit pressed for space on my desk.

  • Man this k400r keyboard keeps coming back as much as the condom deals… Still keeps pushing my buttons :)

  • Sorry for my ignorance. I need a keyboard for my iPad 1. Is the $28 one suitable? Thanks for help.

      It's a bluetooth keyboard, I don't see why not.

      • +1

It is not bluetooth, it is wireless so I don't think it works with tablets.

        • +2

Yeah, its not bluetooth - it uses a USB receiver, so won't work with Apple devices (may work with other tablets if they've got a USB port though).

        • Oh sorry, I was looking at a different model.

    • +1

I doubt it would work. It's married to a unified receiver.
I have tested this on my android tab and iPhone( both didn't pick it up). The receiver is unique for the keyboard.

Works out of the box with Win, OSX, Linux( Ubuntu), PS3
Raspbmc( still gotta use the reciever).
NB: it runs at 2.4ghz so it's not Bluetooth.

    • Apple probably not… if you have an android it might work if you use a USB on the go cable.

  • +1

Wow - 202 keyboards sold in under 3 hours… guess this deal was Ozbargained! Glad I got one when I did :)

  • Great products and price.

I have a K400r, willing to buy or swap for a K400 which defaults to function keys working as function keys instead of the media player functions on the newer K400r. Send PM.

  • +1

Pretty impressed with the turn around on my order.
    Ordered Sunday night here today.

  • great keyboard, love it. thanks op.

Although k400r is for windows, it works fine with android tablet (ver 4.1.1 Ainol Venus), but some function keys not working such as [Alt] for switching language.
