  • Do you know the difference between these and the more expensive (advanced) ones? Is it just the weight of the gloves?

    • In the product description.

      Cheaper gloves:
Full wrist wrap strap provides superior wrist support and allows for a more customizable fit.
New design with refined glove shape for improved finger flexibility and hand protection.

      Advanced gloves:
Light weight design increases speed and accuracy, open-thumb for extra compact fist.
Partial mesh palm ensures breathability and comfort while a moisture absorbing and anti-microbial lining retains freshness, extending the life of your equipment.
Gloves features a dual collar support panel for superior wrist protection.
Adjustable hook and loop wrist strap secures the fit.

"Aerobic or Cardio Gloves – These gloves are usually made obvious by their very low pricing. Avoid them! They have the least amount of padding and will fall apart faster than anything."

Oh and never buy anything branded Everlast (with the exception of wraps).

      • Even though there is some truth to that I still think these gloves would be perfectly fine for their purpose. Boxing cardio gloves are designed to deliver light-weight punches to focus pads and shadow boxing. So long as your not planning on hitting the heavy bag or sparring with them you'll be fine.

        He's right.

Not only do they fall apart quickly and go flat very quickly (the padding just loses elasticity), but if you work up a real sweat, the bright dyes actually run onto your hands and onto the white lining inside.

I had a pair of 16 ounce heavy bag gloves from Everlast (these were explicitly for heavy bag work) and after about 3 weeks of training (and I'm no Earnie Shavers; I just punched the bag for 30 minutes in between cardio sets about 3 times a week), all the stitching was frayed and loose, the grip cord was out of place and the dyes constantly got all over my towels and hands.

Pretty shoddy. And I payed a good $60 bucks for them.

If you're serious about cardio boxing or bag work then Ringside or Title gloves would be worthwhile investments.

      • (N)everlast. I have had bad experiences with everlast equipment, shoes, hoodies and even boxing wraps are just okay and are coming apart after six months.

  • Pretty good deal with the free shipping.
